Love that I can brew many types of coffee!

Disappointed with SPINN Coffee Maker
I was initially thrilled with the SPINN Coffee Maker. When it works, it’s fantastic – the coffee quality is top-notch, and the machine is a joy to use. However, my excitement was short-lived. Unfortunately, the machine started malfunctioning just as it hit the 13-month mark, conveniently one month after the warranty expired.
To make matters worse, customer service was unhelpful. Instead of addressing the issue, they insisted I pay $199 to fix it, plus additional re-boxing fees. Given how expensive this machine is, I expected much better support. It’s frustrating that a product marketed as premium is so unreliable.
If SPINN would stand by their product and offer proper support, this could have been a different story. But as it stands, I recommend staying away from this machine. It’s just not worth the hassle or the risk of it breaking down right after the warranty ends.

Too much care
Honestly, it seems like every other day this machine needs care. The app is a great concept, press a button and hot coffee will be waiting, except the grounds need to be emptied, the water reservoir needs filling, the drip pan needs emptying or some other light goes on which requires you to find the book, which I now keep under the machine.
Last month, after not being here all winter, it just stopped brewing coffee altogether. For another mere $200 and another 1 year guarantee, it was fixed. I have a $129 nespresso in my winter home, yes I have to buy pods, but hasn’t needed any care ( other than water and the reservoir is larger) since I have owned it. No, I cannot make the coffee from my phone, but I can wait the moment that it takes. And I can enjoy a decaf espresso in the evening, without spending even more to upgrade a machine I am already sorry I own.

Rich Delicious coffee
This has been a great machine. the espresso and coffee have been great. I alaways get compliments on how rich the coffee is. Also though this appliance is an investment. The time that I have had it it has paid for itself. I was spending $100 plus on cups a month and the time that I Have had the Spinn it has already paid for self. Love this machine! The new machine looks great as well if anything happens to this machine and I cannot fi I will definitely reinvest. Also the customer service is awesome as well.

The app is good, the machine is another story
Despite the app being very well designed, Spinn the company - and the appliances they make - are awful. They are buggy, defective, and break down constantly. While the app reminds you to service the machine, it often breaks immediately after a cleaning cycle, requiring you to mail it in. And their warranty is only 1 year instead if the industry standard 2… I think they shorted it because they know their machines don’t last. Avoid this company like the plague.

My own coffee shop in my kitchen!
My wife and I love our machine. Coffee. Expresso. Cold brew. this machine does it. Plenty of great reviews to read. Here is some things to consider though. The water reservoir is small so constant refilling it. The company is making a larger one coming in Dec 2023. The height of the cup holder limits the size of mugs we can use. This machine does require your time to maintain. Refilling beans. Empty used grind hopper. Running the Clean cycle monthly. 30+ min. But that’s is expected and you should know to expect to keep the machine clean and happy. We did have an error occur post warranty period and had to send back the machine and u must use the original packaging. The turn around time was quick and came with a 6 month warranty. When you ready to stop paying coffee shop prices, this is the way.

I was under the impression this was about great coffee…
Don’t get me wrong. I love my coffee maker. The Spinn is a great machine for coffee lovers. I even pre-ordered mine and waited a year for it to be sent to me. I love it. 5 Stars. However the app… it used to be about amazing coffee, now, that is such a small part of it. Using the app now feels like you are being milked by so many things trying to get you buy everything. When you make a cup of coffee the process is minimized so they can pitch you 2-3 different in house ads for sharing with friends. Buy this new coffee. Pre-order this new product. It’s their app. Use it for marketing, but when the marketing takes up 75% and the user feels like they are being milked… I’ll go back to pour over and espresso. Cheaper and far less intrusive. With an arguably better product.

Decent
Different brewing technology. Give you a light, bright, and crisp taste. Good for large Americano coffee etc. In this case, spinn coffee maker For true Italian espresso, with the buttery and creamy taste, it’s better to go with the traditional methods. Go with Terra Kaffee, Philips 5400 series, or jura Z10 also has cold brew method. Reply to the Spinn developer response, centrifusion technology isn’t good for espresso, you should really look into the responses from all the users on Facebook group. I have multiple machines, including yours, each machine perform different functions and has their own pros and cons. You, the developer from Spinn stating that Spinn is the best machine in the world, it’s simply a selfish statement. And also you keep mentioning Terra Kaffe, are they really a competitor that you care so much that you trash talk about their brand now? Simply put it, your espresso can’t even compare with Jura Z10 and our La Marzocco (which is the machine I am proud to benchmark and use it towards the customers, oh, and they are also MADE IN ITALY) . Also not to mention your components are also made in China, so what is your angle?

Interesting feedback that we have not heard before, the Spinn espresso and ristretto is known to be the best from all the full automatic machines in the industry, tested by roasters and barista's. Are you sure you're not here to promote Terra Kaffee? ;) thank you! Thanks again for the response. Spinn is not familiar with centrifusion technology so we are not sure what you're referring to or whether that technology is good for espresso making. If your benchmark for your espresso's is a Chinese OEM made machine like Terra Kaffee we understand the confusions here. Best of luck (and espresso's)!
Best coffee
I’ve had many coffee machines, and this is by far the best. Best tasting, easiest to use, easiest to clean and fresh ground beans on the spot for every cup ❤️
Solid
After researching for about 1 year I finally pulled the trigger when there was a 150 off full price discount. Seems like there are sales like that from time to time. I have had the machine for 1 week, made 7-8 cups of coffee. Everything works as it should, and seems to be well built. However, coffee is not your k cup or normal drip, much more fullness like a pour over coffee. This seems to be that sweet spot between a quick serve machine and the full on fancy coffee from a barista. Exactly what I was looking for. Also, really love the idea of no more pods.
