  • Way better than all other dictionary apps I’ve tried

I’ve tried for years to find a good dictionary app - without annoying ads and unnecessary “features,” lightweight and quick to load and navigate - and believe this is it.

I like to look up every word I don’t recognize in my reading, and often need archaic usages. Motî makes it easy to find alternative definitions and etymologies with its minimalist display.

I appreciate that when you go back to the search page from an entry, the keyboard comes up automatically, ready for another search - no extra taps here. I can’t believe other dictionary apps haven’t made simple UI improvements like this.

    Love it - thank you!

Thanks for your review and nice words! A similar, but unsuccessful search for a good dictionary app is how this project started.
  • Blessing for frazzled polyglots

Helps me to make connections (and correct mistakes) in a few taps. Exactly what longed for.

  • Best app so far

    Cool, simple useful
  • As soon as Russian is included, I am giving this a 5 star

I love the simplistic design, it's classy. I have faith that Russian and other languages will be added in the future. There is also a crash here and there but that's expected from a new app. I can't understand why there aren't more of these multi lingual dictionary apps, they are wicked cool.

    Developer Response

The latest version (1.1.4) now comes with a Russian dictionary. Let me know what you think.
