Hello! We understand that the transaction process did not meet your expectations. Please note, trials and subscription transactions are processed through the Apple Store, not through us. When you sign up for a trial, you can cancel it anytime before the subscription start date through your Apple Account and looking under Subscriptions. The free trial is only a one-time offer, which allows you to get a feel for the app before the subscription payment begins. If you have any questions or suggestions, do connect with us via support.

***Update after the developer contacted me. Everything you mentioned to do has been tried. To test to see if the problem wasn’t your app I downloaded another free UPN and it had no problems playing the content which leads me to think either all the services know your servers and are blocking them or it just to force a paid suvmbscription. Because I Have tried multiple servers in the US region 1 catogory. Because outside of those if will deny playing region 1 because of not being in that region.

Sorry for inconvenience! The issue you mentioned should not have happened. Please try changing region or using an "Alternate IP" option. You can choose specific service from the list, as the Service selector if you are a premium member to connect to dedicated servers. The ONLY genuinely FREE VPN I could find in the Apple App Store
After selecting that I want free server I choose 30m session, after watching four video ads with 4 static ads in between it says I have 30m, I leave the app open and check the Apple settings to see if the VPN slider is green (on).
So I go back to this vpn app and watch more ads until it allows over 1 hour of VPN usage, then go back to Apple setting and it is on. To verify this I check the IP address and it works, great, or so I thought.
Then I loaded app that I don’t want to have my IP address, I go back to messages to copy some text. Then check IP address again and VPN IS NOT WORKING, my own IP is showing.
So I go back to this vpn app and watch more ads until it allows over 30m more so well over an hour of VPN usage, then go back to Apple setting and it is on.
Then I loaded app that I don’t want to have my IP address, paste the data from messages and press send. Then I switched back to browser and AGAIN THE ORIGINAL IP IS SHOWING, the VPN is off, I go back to this App and is still says I am owed over an hour.
A VPN you can’t trust is not worth even trying to use. It seems to me that this App is totally flawed. This is not a one off, it happens every time. So 1 Star awarded until this is fixed.

Sorry for the inconvenience! The issue you mentioned should not have happened. Please restart the app and try connecting to different regions or use an alternate Ip options. If this persists please contact us at support@freevpnapp.org.
Streaming No Longer works on Netflix
Well I was told to contact you after I left a review in the app because they said that the app wasn’t supposed to do that. (Meaning you are supposed to be able to watch ANY streaming service as long as you watched ads.) If you choose the free version and watch the ads that you (FreeUPN) get money from those ads but the User doesnt get to stream from services because those APPS (Vudu,Netflix,Amazon,etc) block FreeUPN because they automatically know you are an UPN and they think I’m not in the US when I am. You say then pay for the upgraded service and use our better servers. That’s not free. So you are not going to fix the problem because your APP is set up to frustrate the Free users into paying monthly. So your “Free”UPN is a lie to get service you are forced to pay. So “Free” is not really Free. Even though you get paid from ads you still want more. This App was great (5 Stars) before they started reducing their service pushing you to buy a monthly perscription. I know you want to make money but you have us watch ads. You are making money from that. I live in the US trying to stream in the US. But those services think because I’m using a UPN to protect myself that I’m not in the US.

Good but dodgy adverts
However, when watching the ads to gain my VPN connection, some of the adds pertaining a video and chat app to be highly inappropriate in its entirety. The ad would depict the close ups of women faces clearly in adult 18+ content videos!
Which is not appropriate in any stretch of the imagination, bare in mind I'm doing this on school wifi could mean I could lose my job if it is flagged up by IT.

Please accept our apologies. We do our best to disable those ads from the ad networks, but it doesn't work perfectly and some do get through. Thank you for alerting us. Buying a subscription will remove them. Hope this helps or write us at support@freevpnapp.org.
