Amazing game, but it crashes soo often!!!
So, the 5 stars is just to ensure this gets seen in the case of a bug that needs fixing. My actual rating at the moment is about 3.5, but for good reason.
Overall, this game is an natural delight for TF lovers like myself. It has a wide range of characters, they have a modern feel to them yet still reflect the G1 versions of themselves, and gameplay is generally good. One thing that does annoy me though is how often the game crashes!! It will crash every few minutes, usually after or before a battle as well as during most loading screens, and the amount of gameplay time I’m missing from having to start the game up again and again is hugely hindering me and my overall experience. Once this problem is fixed, I will not hesitate to give this a ‘real’ 5 stars, but the issue is so bad that I am losing hours of game time and that just isn’t sitting well with me. Combiners
I doubt this will go very far so here it goes,
Putting the Combiners into the game was a great idea to take to the battle, but only the 3 star characters can combine? It’s hard enough to get the characters required to combine and even harder to get the 3 star characters, it would be fairer if we can combine from 2 stars up, I love playing this game but I don’t want to have to pay to get the characters needed, it would be fairer to give everyone the same opportunity to unlock a combiner.

$$$$This Game is horrible they only want your money
I’ve written multiple reviews about this game and they are constantly removed. If you look at other people comments you will notice that comment comes up a lot. Don’t spend money on this game. It’s a rip off. They usually give you a duplicate character that you already have and then you end up getting crystal shards and no new transformers. Think of this game as a Micheal Bay transformer movie, it looks cool but it disappoints every time. I’m at a point where I have a few 4 Star transformers after playing for years. I just got a 3 star grimlock, again after playing for years. I’m also at a point where I’m constantly attacked by people that have all their character ranking over 2000 and my resources are wiped out every 6 hours so I can’t build up enough resources to upgrade anything. My highest ranked character is just over 1000, and it’s my only character ranked over a 1000. I think you get the picture. Play for fun but don’t have high expectations. Also their support staff will just tell you we are working on fixing the issues. Again, I highly recommend you don’t spend money on this game. Also read the reviews. They talk about how disappointed they are in the game but they give it a 4-5 star ranking. Sound shady to me. Good luck.Show lesscm0044
Great game with bugs
It is an awesome game! I love transformers and this is a really good way to represent g1 I recommend to any transformers fan but... there are bugs. I swear everyone has had the bug we’re it stops loading at 39% but I’ve also witnessed a new one. I just upgraded my shuttle so I can fit 6 bots in it and when I add the 6th and try to fight it crashes I can’t use my 6th bot and it’s driving me mad pls respond or try to fix it cause I need that bot to complete levels, thanks for reading!Show less7530farmer
Bad after HQ17 update
Game has taken a savage turn after latest update. Waste of time collecting resources, raided by maxed out bots every 6 hours as soon as shield drops. Not much thought went into that. I’ll give it another week to see if anything changes otherwise my TEW experience will end sadly. Most in my alliance experiencing exactly the same.Show lessMerc Dogg
Can’t even play it.
Installed it and within minutes was hit with a game ending issue - it won’t load.
It gets stuck on “installing” at around 6% or 14%.
No matter how long I leave it, it won’t load.
I tried contacting customer services, which are essentially non-existent. They told me to log in and out of Game Centre, which apparently should solve it. I tried that and was met with failure, and once I alerted them to it, they responded saying that they do not currently have a fix for the issue. This was 8 months ago, and when I tried to email them about an update I was ignored.
This isn’t an isolated issue, I’ve seen tons of people with the same problems. And no fix seems on site, and there’s no support for people who cannot play the game.
Do not install this game, there is absolutely no point because if you play on iOS your game WILL NOT load.

Must have for all G1 fans
Anyone who grew up in the 80s and ever read the comics, watched the cartoon or took their bots round to their mates for a battle needs to get this game. There are plenty of more recent iterations covered too, such as Beastwars and the IDW comic books, but it’s rooted firmly in the G1 era.
The mechanics of the game are fairly familiar ones of base defence and attack but it’s done well and although of course monetisation is pushed you can progress well without spending anything with a bit of patience. This is especially true once you join an alliance as special events unlock very useful resources.
There’s a pretty deep upgrade path for buildings and bots to greatly increase their power. Although you pick a side to start with, once you reach a certain level you can use characters from the other faction in pvp raids, which is a great touch.
It’s also got that most unusual of things in an f2p game - a great backstory courtesy of Simon Furman, who’s been writing for the Transfomers universe for years. Every time you unlock a new character there’s a great bit of exposition with their team members, which is often very funny.
Only negative I’ve picked up on so far - Shockwave as a medic?! He’s a fifty foot long laser cannon, people!

Great but could be better
TFEW is a great game that is unfortunately held back by extremely long timers and horrible drop rates. You could spend weeks saving up for crystals only for you to get a duplicate. The way the progression system works actually works against long time players, the more characters you collect means it is much harder to get a new one. Unless you drop $100.Show lessImN7
Not happy
I’ve played this game for a short time. I joined a group calling them selves the Windex Warriors. I had achieved the minimal requirements that they set. Yet despite the fact that I was new to the game they chucked me out. Then tried to defend that choice by calling me a slacker. True I could have not called them jerks but to just kick me out just because I wasn’t at some sort of super level is not write. Especially when the tell in the descriptions the minimum that they expect. This left me only two choices try and download the game again and start all over as a autobot or delete it and not play. I just don’t fell welcome on the game anymore. As for the none social part the game itself I believe it to be a excellent game good graphics great user interface and decent story. That’s hard to find in a lot of games these days. But the alliance part needs a little work. Give people a chance or games like this won’t last long. Some what desappointed.😕Show lesswheeljack1980
