  • Great UI, wish there was burst functionality.

I love this app, the UI is great, but adding burst functionality would be extremely useful.
  • Would be much better if ISO snapped to real camera values

I love almost everything about this app. Except for the fact that the ISO lets you select any number you want rather than snapping to normal ISO values, ie 50, 100, 150, 200 etc.

Even if it snapped to multiples of 10 that would be great. But I'm not going to stand there and fiddle with this stupid slider because I can't set the ISO to 100 because the stupid slider keeps skipping from 99 to 101. So frustrating.

It might not bother those who don't use a real camera. But anybody used to using a real manual camera will probably not like that they can't set exact ISO values.

    An excersize in frustration.

  • Braindead

Why is it that when you override the shutter speed you somehow immediately end up in Manual mode? Is there nothing in between? Maybe I just want to set the shutter speed and still get a proper exposruee - just bump the ISO for me! Worst UI design ever.
  • Love the app, this version crashes

This is my favorite camera app. You have full control without it being cluttered. It's a great design and the focus peaking is spot on. However, this version crashes repeatedly on my iPhone 7 Plus. Seems to crash when selecting auto exposure.
  • Buggy and unstable

I wanted to like this app but it is unfortunately very unstable and crashes easily on my iPhone 7 Plus. It's useless and I wish I could get my money back.
  • Yes, I do suggest it to my friends

I bought it for the peaking and it works well. I’m surprise that most other apps don’t seem to have that feature. If you haven’t used peaking, you will quickly come to understand why it has been on professional video cameras for years. Occasionally, I wish it had a one camera pixel to one screen pixel mode where you could check the focus of small objects without affecting the zoom. But overall, I am happy with the app’s ability to let me control the focus.

To be really great it needs an equivalent to shutter priority mode on a DSLR. There are many times I want to use a higher shutter speed to eliminated camera shake but don’t need full manual control. The meter at the top of the screen is easy to see and gets you close. In Auto mode it doubles as the exposure compensation indicator. I would like to see a waveform or histogram overlay added in an update. It would be way sweet if you could also have a histogram overlay in the picture viewer so that I could make sure I captured the exposure I wanted before I left a location.

Love the level overlay. The flash light with four brightness levels is very handy. Controlling the white balance just saves time in post processing. The description doesn’t make it clear but you can save photos in only JPEG, only RAW, or both RAW and JPEG. The Apple Watch remote works as long as the phone doesn’t go to sleep. A preview image on the watch would be useful for taking selfie but hey the phones build in app does that if I really need it.

I wrote a lot about what I would like to see added but don’t let that distract you from how useful this app is. Yes, I do suggest it to my friends and the focus peaking is worth the four bucks.

  • Hidden Gem

Wow wasn't expecting this to be all that good but was pleasantly surprised by the interface, very slick, easy to use, just an absolute perfect setup for controlling the most commonly used settings and takes great photos for a very decent price, I was just searching for focus peeking on the App Store and this one showed up, reviews were good and thought for a couple of bucks I'll give it a try and ended up with a great camera app, love it! Thanks.

  • Perfect!!

I agree with the other reviews. This app is the perfect one for my use in digiscoping. I've been looking for a manual focus app that allows "cable" shutter release (earphone volume or Bluetooth button), and this one is exactly what I have been searching for. Even better, I get focus peaking, a function found on good cameras. Love the app, and I am glad that I took the chance with this purchase.

  • So easy it makes me feel like a real photographer again

This is the only app I found that can literally turn your iPhone into a DSLR camera (or at least make it feel like one) the peaking feature feels like the closest thing to aperture control possible on an iPhone with a fixed aperture. The film speed control also allows you to create one of a kind exposures in a snap. But what really sets this app apart is the interface , the degree of control I described is accessible from within in one interface. There's no scrolling through menus or even clicking buttons allowing to take great photos quickly. For this reason alone it blows the other camera enhancement app I've tried, camera plus, out of the water.

  • Depth of Field!

Love this app for the various manual controls. Finally can mess with DOF on my camera phone. Nice!
