Doesn’t work at all

It says I’m connected to my fireplace but I can’t control it at all. Worthless.

Doesn’t control all features

I can turn the fireplace on or off from app that’s about it. If I turn on the nightlight or led lights from the remote then I can change the color or dim the nightlight but cannot fully control the fireplace. I don’t know why the app can not control all the features it is supposed to.

Timer won’t work

App crashed in Jan 2020. They said to update and reload to fix issue. It’s March and still won’t work and EFire-CONTROLLER has no information again on glitch. You cannot set timer to turn off fireplace - if you tap that button, the app closes!

Rarely works

Very rarely (and randomly) connects to fireplace. Then some controls don’t work when connected. Seems like a marketing gimmick vs a thoughtful product release.

Doesn’t work and password option is a bust

I changed the password as told, went to login again and the password is incorrect, which I know what I typed in. Doesn’t even give you the option to reset password. Worthless

Crazy Cool

The app is crazy cool and the preferred way to operate the fireplace because I can’t figure out the remote that comes with it. Small note: the initial password is 0000. Was hard for me to find that in the docs.

Edit: as other reviewer said, you can’t have multiple devices connected at the same time. Also would really love to find a way to connect to HomeKit so I can add it to my scenes and home automation.

Cool but limited.

Works great and is really cool, just wish all of us could take advantage of it - only one Bluetooth device can be connected at a time, which is really limiting in a family household. Disappointing - much cheaper household appliances allow multiple Bluetooth devices at once. Waaaay past time to update the technology for units this expensive.

Edit: Even the unit’s own remote won’t work if there is another Bluetooth device paired. So, if I pair my phone and go upstairs, my wife can’t use the remote unless I disconnect.

Edit 2: After more time with it, bumping it up to four stars. It easily switches between devices and the new device connecting picks up the previous status seamlessly. For example, if my wife turns it on and sets things and then leaves or turns off her app or phone, I can open the app and connect easily and it automatically sets to where she left it.
