Needs to be smarter
I really like my Napoleon fireplace. I use it as the primary heating source for my downstairs area and use the remote control to set a temperature. What is really missing are Nest level controls to turn down the temp at night and other times when not used. If Napoleon can add a temperature setting by time of day/day of week to this App, that will provide the intelligence needed to make this a great heating solution.

Waste of money doesn’t work properly
If one person turns on fireplace with phone another person can’t turn it off. It has to be turned off by same device. Not even the remote will work if a certain phone turned it on. Also all the features don’t work on the app like the the remote. Total waste of money. Should of just stuck with remote. No home automation options either.

Unable to connect
The Bluetooth shows connected but the app can’t find the fireplace. Very frustrated

Terrible App
Can’t make this App work so thought I must be doing something wrong. After reading other reviews and trying a few things I have come to the conclusion this is just a very bad App!
Broken, poorly made, frustrating
I think this is the only time Ive ever bothered leaving a review for an app. I cant believe that a reputable company would allow such a poor app to be published. Never mind that it doesnt work: from the poorly written prompts, to buttons that do nothing and give you no feedback if they work or not, terrible ux, screen jumping...
Just the worst, most amateurish app that even if it worked i would not trust to control a live fire in my home. Shame!

Garbage app
Turned the fire place on just fine, now I can’t reconnect to turn it off.
Doesn’t work
The app worked one time (the day the fireplace was set up) but hasn’t worked since which is very disappointing since it has better features than the remote.
Only works very intermittently
The controls do nothing about 90% of the time. In some rare event of luck it actually works for about 10 minutes.
The fireplace is found and connected to fine, it even tells me if the password is wrong but the fireplace doesn't act on any of the commands.

Can’t get past login screen
Despite creating an account, we can’t seem to get past the login screen. There’s no errors appearing - just hitting the button does literally nothing. PW is 4 characters - not sure if that’s an issue. And no way to reset PW making the entire process useless. This app is very poorly made and needs to be scrapped and started again by a professional app company.

What more to add...simply won't connect!
Like many others here I too have found out the hard way about the serious issue with this app.
Once I put the password in (0000) the app freezes. I've removed the app and reinstalled, pulled the power to the fireplace...tried to reconnect and have the same problem.
The installers are no help, they're not "familiar" with the E-Fire app. Would be interested in hearing from guys that have found a fix! Not happy Napoleon
