Absolutely awful
The updated app is awful and useless! You can not enter your Tallinja card as it will not accept the OD card or passport number (why the hell do they need this anyway?!) The journey planner also doesn’t work! The previous journey planner wasn’t amazing it is 100 times better than this rubbish though! Whoever the designers of this app are should be fired. I will be using the website from now on.

Great
Great but not excellent. We stated for 4 days in Sliema and used the bus every day to get around. It took time to get used to it but it was easy once you get your head around it.
Half the time it doesn’t work
The App takes very long time to load. The “My next bus” section only work half the time. They need to upgrade the app.
Don’t even bother
Buy a bus pass right at the airport. This app is HORRIBLE
Poor UI, lacks features
Clunky to use - the next bus feature takes a while to pinpoint, UI is basic, the journey planner feature is crude and limited. Features to add: MOBILE / CARD fare payment options.
Unusable as a tourist
Cannot get the day select to work on an iPhone. Guess this is Sunday service at the top and weekdays at the bottom. What if Saturday? See other reviews that you need to know street names etc which as a tourist you dont. Made this completely useless which is sad because there seem to be lots of busses when you can read the physical timetables

Useful
Found the route planner really helpful. Wandering around like a lost sheep, the App showed a map of where to walk to and what bus to take. Have to say, Malta public transport is fantastic for service and value.
Terrible
I’m finding this terrible and impossible to use here in Malta. Combined with impossible data connectivity using SIM card. I thought I would be able to rely on this app to get around. Don’t believe the hype!
Not The Best & Not The Worst Bus App
This app works well if you know how to use it at first I found it very hard to use it you need to know the name of the bus stop where you are and where you are going to the best way is to go on the next bus then you look on the map where you want to do and click plan Journey here so it will put it down as the end stop then you need to put where you are starting from and it will give you the best route to your destination I know it’s long doing this but that’s the best way I have found to use it and the only way I could use the app lol they need to Proof the app by far and soon as a tourist it’s hard using this app
