Great content, terrible app
The app is horrible to use and constantly freezes. Also it doesn’t remember the saved items as I found my list is suddenly gone.
Slow and frustrating
I think Which would give their own app a ‘do not buy’ rating if they tested it the same way they test other company’s products.
Content is great when you can access it, but there are a few major problems. 1) When signed into the app if you search for reviews and are redirected to the website it doesn’t recognise you as logged in so, frustratingly, you have to sign in again. 2) Articles are slow to load and sometimes don’t load at all on first try. 3) When applying filters in web hosted articles the ‘apply’ button is obscured by a navigation pane. The same occurs when directed to other websites to purchase. Could be so great, but these UI issues are very annoying. Deleted.

Content is excellent digital delivery is not
Life is time. My time on the planet is finite. How finite, thankfully, I don’t know. I decided some time ago to outsource some choices to others. I decided I couldn’t and probably shouldn’t outsource the choice of life partner nor career nor place to live. Washing machines, broadband providers and toasters I’m happy for someone else to do the hard yards and I’ll accept their wisdomosity. All in pursuit of optimising my time. I find that what I gain in one hand: excellent blanched reviews and firm recommendations; I lose with the other: online magazines I can’t search and find the elusive second page. I have to wait to store the parchment edition with posters I mark and photograph to send to friends.
Sort out the digital edition and it will be 6 out of 5 stars. Find a digital product owner who cares. Allow me to share an article with friends and family and take their email address in exchange… find a digital magazine platform that is a joy to use…. your content deserves it.

Frozen, cannot use this app
I downloaded this app as the reviews were good. All was fine until the app tried to log me into my Which? account. A pop-up window came up and completely froze the app. There was no way to close the pop-up and it did not respond to scrolling.
I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. No joy.
Eventually i rebooted the mobile and that fixed the problem.
Overall a rather frustrating start but the app works well, once it works.

Not enough clear signposting or ability to sort on features
I found your app lacked easy to see signposting to where you want to go and got trapped several times in areas I didn’t want to be for example my account section. Also needs much more filters to help to view a particular version of a product as currently you just given your rating for them all. Example being security cameras. One may only wish to see wireless ones or outdoor ones but they are all jumbled up together and one has to scroll through each one because not clear what they are until you open the review. Need to sort because just don’t have time to spend doing this.

Can’t stay logged in
I’m quite frustrated by this App. I love my Which membership but the App is not great. Even after I’ve logged in, if I search for something and click into the article or review, I’m asked to sign in again to see products and prices. If I then click to read the full review of a product, and then want to continue with the article to see alternative products, it logs me out again and I have to start all over. This happens every time. I started a chat online and it was suggested that I delete the App and reinstating, which I have done. The same problem still occurs. Also the person with whom I was talking said she would hold the Chat open while I was trying it but there’s no indication of how to rejoin the Chat with her.

With the recent upgrade this app has gone from great to rubbish
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” That’s a simple adage that Which? has singularly failed to heed. The previous version of this app was easy to use, made sense intrinsically and allowed users to compare more than ten items at once, allowing a comprehensive understanding of differences - an important tool when whittling down a long list of options. Now, you can only compare two, which have to be deleted before you can compare two more. So frustrating and time consuming.
It’s also much more difficult to navigate your way around the app, which also makes the whole experience time consuming and irritating.
Sorry Which? but this update is crap, and means I won’t be rushing to the Which? app to find the information I used to use to make purchasing decisions, and if that’s the case, I find myself questioning the value of my Which? subscription.

Who is responsible for 2.0!? It’s useless
App 2.0 is possibly the worst app update ever. Fire whoever is responsible. Why would you make something 100x worse than the last version!? All the functionality is gone, the ability to refine searches and find what you want easily. They even thought it would be funny in the run up to Xmas to delete your shortlists so you have to spend hours researching and finding your products with a worst UI. Worst still if you read the feedback on the new reviews they claim they are working on putting some of these features in later updates. Why would you take them out in the first place!? Then release an update which is significantly worse, to later claim you will put them back but later!? And at the busiest shopping time of the year? Tip you could have kept the old app and released a new one when it at least matches the usefulness and functionality. It’s like boris and brexit they have promised sunlit uplands but actually set you back 50 years and worse off then you were before.

Website remade
To be honest, I’m not a heavy user of this app, or apps in general, but I am a subscriber to Which and will refer to their reviews quite regularly for purchasing decisions and just general interest. I’ve found it stable to use and the search and indexing functions work well. I also like the family sharing option which I will be making used of from this point on. Above and beyond accessing the normal website, it doesn’t offer a huge range of functions but I have rated it 4, rather than stars simply because it does offer a few useful features such as being able to favourite items you may want to refer back to. I find the index feature works better than the website when browsing rather then searching, so drilling down to the right category is quick and easy. In terms of improvements or things that might improve to 5 stars. Notifications when new reviews are added in certain sections or the ability to run comparisons like you can on the main website would be things I would be interested in using. Perhaps also the ability to learn which items I am interested in (the search function already remembers previous searches) and tailor the menus accordingly. In general a very solid app but one which still sometimes struggles to differentiate itself from the browser offering.

Straightforward honest reviews
Although it misses out on 5 stars for not having a review for every single item I have tried to find, the Which Reviews app provides the absolutely most trustworthy assessment of almost every item you are likely to want to spend your hard earned cash (or credit) on. With in depth descriptions of the strengths and weaknesses of everything from mattresses to cars with TVs, kitchen and laundry appliances in between, this is the app to go to to make sure you get the most out of the money you spend. Though not free, I am confident it can pay you back the cost of the app year in year out. Get it now!
