Reviews of Experian®

Great Way of Knowing Your Credit Score and Ways of Increasing It

Of the 3 Main Credit Score Companies, Experian is by far the Best Way of Increasing Your Score. Experian allows you to attach other Bills for Experian to keep track of your monthly on time payments at No Charge. Also, I did pay a Monthly Charge when I needed to Talk to a Live Person to Assist in getting an Old Account Removed from my Record. Then I returned to the Free Service to Continue to Watch my Score constantly go Up! When 1 month it dipped a few points, I noticed immediately the reason why and I was able to fix it. When I started with Experian my Credit Score was at 569, I was able to get it up to 720, when I was out of work and my Bank Account wasn’t getting weekly Direct Deposits and my Credit Cards Balances went up, my Credit Score dropped to 690. Now that I’m back working again, it has jumped back up to 720 and my goal has been 750 which I believe it will reach in 2025 (currently Nov of 2024 when leaving this review) Experian by far is better than Trans Union and Equifax. The bad thing, you don’t know which of the 3 businesses will use when looking up your score. The good thing, as I’ve used Experian, I have seen my Credit Score at the other 2 go up as well.

Hello there. Thanks for the feedback. We are delighted to hear that you like our app and found it to be useful. -Lori

Disappointed in Premium Service

Don’t waste your money paying for so call premium monitoring and access to your credit scores from the other two credit bureaus. Experian lowers your FICO score on their site just to get you to add features to try and “boost” your score. After going to the another credit bureau’s site, I noted that my credit score was much higher than what Experian was showing for that bureau on their site. Experian’s monitoring is low level. And, if there an alert, the information Experian provides is vague.

Trying to speak with a specialist used to be easy. Now it’s an almost 30 minute wait. And, it takes almost 10 minutes trying to get around their automated AI to get to a specialist. Their specialists used to be top notch. Not anymore! The specialist I finally spoke to sounded like he really didn’t want to be bothered with my question. Yet, he said he couldn’t transfer me to the department that could answer my question without getting “all” of my confidential information first via an unprotected phone line.

My advice, lock your credit report at all three bureaus and request your free credit report from each bureau once a year. Don’t fall into the trap of paying Experian to make available to you your credit report from the other two bureaus.

Fraud in your app

Someone signed into Experian when I signed into it with my face on google. They changed my user name & unlocked my freeze on all of my accounts & personal information . I turned my phone off after I tried getting a live representative on the phone from your company, when I turned it back on the scammers were back on your website . So somehow they how gotten in there even thought I have paid for protection through you & through transition. All credit bureaus should have freezes on them for 1 year. & should be locked, I want to get a new phone at Verizon tomorrow but they said the freeze has to. Be lifted for an hour . I’m scared to do that as the scammers are not stopping. So o need help from you . Thankyou . A live person in the morning if not Tonight would be good with a direct phone number to call back so I don’t get the run around. If not I will call the BBB tomorrow for help . Thankyou
