  • Parents

    Parents do not bother with this app! First & only time I’ve used this app I had a girl come to my house last weekend, who claimed the sit went well, I have screenshots of our messages. On top of the expensive fee I had to pay I also bought her a bottle of wine as a kind gesture because I really appreciated the help. Anyway, fast forward to the following week when I needed another sitter, I received a message from a girl who said “I have had to reject my offer of babysitting due to the review left on your profile”. Obviously confused and very upset, I contacted Bubble support because I didn’t understand what had gone on & why I’d not been made aware of the situation by the sitter who claimed everything was fine. The support team were very unhelpful, completely left me in the dark & suspended my account. I still have no idea what this bad review was about but I certainly won’t be using the app again & I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a trusted babysitter. Absolutely disgusting.

    Hi Shelby - I understand that have been in touch with a member of the team about this and chose to leave the platform. With regards to any concern raised, be it one made to us by a customer on Bubble, or through a situation that Bubble might become aware of otherwise, we have a duty to safeguard families, children and sitters. As we are never present on the sits themselves, we have a duty to investigate or follow instructions from authorities, without judgement and with a zero-risk approach. I hope you can appreciate that as a childcare platform, we take our responsibilities on these issues extremely seriously.
  • Outstanding service and professional sitters.

    Bubble has been a true lifesaver for me whenever I needed help. The sitters I've met through the platform have been incredibly kind and professional. I've had such a positive experience that I'm eagerly recommending Bubble to all my friends, hoping they'll enjoy the same level of service.

    The support team has also been fantastic, always responding to my questions promptly and thoroughly. Their dedication and efficiency have made a big difference.

    Keep up the great work and continue providing excellent service!

  • Garbage software

    I’ve heard great things about Bubble as a tourist coming from the US but I wouldn’t know because after trying to sign up in the app just instacrashes now.

    Here’s how to unearth their terrible design:
    - download app
    - click Parent
    - enter info and try to enter verification code from a validly entered US number (it allowed me to select that country code)
    - never got code. Assume their SMS service can’t text my number
    - toggle away. Sign up for eNomad to get a UK number. Pay $4
    - toggle back. App resets. Click parent enter email
    - it says “check your email and click the link”
    - I click the link and it toggles to Bumblr which flickers and sends me back to Parent/Sitter screen
    - enter email again. It sends another email
    - I click the link again. This time it crashes! Yay!
    - restart the app. Crashes instantly. Yay!
    - delete app and reinstall hoping that wiping local data will resolve the matter
    - still insta crashes. HUZZAH!

  • Very limited app and sitter availability

    The app is very limited. For once, it doesn’t let you control marketing push notifications. Support told me to turn off notifications in my phone settings (for the entire app) which has obvious implications on its usability. For example, I wouldn’t know when a sitter has messaged me. But then maybe that doesn’t matter anyway: I posted a job and a sitter responded with a message. Except I can’t read the message because I haven’t got an actual booking. Support tells me that’s right: I have a message but can’t read it. To me, completely useless. Not only there’s very little sitter availability in my area, but the app itself (and the limited competence of the support team) makes it impossible to have a smooth experience booking. Will seek and recommend alternatives.

  • Great app with a couple of minor issues.

    I love this app! Every job I post gets multiple great sounding applicants and the sitters I’ve had have all been lovely. The customer service has also been fantastic.
    I have two issues though. Once a sitter showed up at my old address. This was because I had booked the sit before I had updated my profile with my new address. The app should have notified me that I had a sit booked for my old address and asked to confirm. It also should have notified the sitter in some way.
    Secondly, when a sitter cancels a job it would be nice if I could still see the people who had previously applied instead of having to repost the sit.

  • Best App Out There for ALL Parents!!!

    We've used Bubble for the past year and we're so very grateful for the app. We can’t imagine how we’d manage to settle in London without it (as we’re expats and have no family network in the UK).
    All the sitters we’ve booked on the app were sweet, professional and lovely. Our 14 month old darling loved everyone who came around. The app is easy to use, intuitive and allows you to browse different sitters and see the reviews that other parents gave them. No more frantic WhatsApp messages to everyone we know. Bubble is the only way for us!

  • Great Concept but needs improving

    The idea of Bubble is great, and I have babysat for some great families from it. However, I do feel it prioritises families over sitters for a few reasons and needs a few improvements .
    Firstly, sitters can’t see their reviews which is frustrating as I would like to know how things went from the family’s end and to see if there’s anything I can improve on. Secondly, the app is not great, you can’t filter by time, and on the ‘regular jobs’ you have to click on each job to see the timings. Then when you come out of it, it takes you back to the top of the list again. Also, parents are allowed to modify the timings whenever they like, sometimes just before the sit, and can also cancel without any repercussions, whereas if a sitter cancels their profile gets deactivated. I understand the fee being taken from the sitter, however I would expect to be treated better as the worker if a percentage of my pay is being taken. The app can also be very glitchy, and sometimes I don’t see a message for days after it has been sent to me. I think parents should have a time limit on accepting a sit also, as sometimes they leave it days and then accept you at the last minute just before the sit. I think if these things got improved, it could be a great app, but it is definitely hard to get sits in the beginning and almost impossible to book an interview with their team!

  • Disappointed as a sitter

    I’ve used the app for those odd free days of my main nanny job and it just get worse every time.

    Apart from having parents cancel even when you get to the house or hotel in the OTHER side of London. I don’t get a payment or a taxi, I lose on other jobs and my money travelling there for nothing in the middle of the night.

    After that I received a message “not active” profile because mum booked last minute(took days! From the date I apply so she was in a rush now for a sitter), change the times which didn’t work for me so she cancelled it and I get punished for it? How is that even fair?

    They cancel my profile for communicate a parent, that didn’t response in days and expect me to pay it. Unbelievable and untrustworthy, I’ll keep contact with the families and forget about the app if they’re ignoring Sitters who are the workers that make the money for THEM and they can sort out childcare by themselves with the parents.

    I’m really disappointed and will stop to use this app to use childcare website or like the old times, facebook or recommendations.

    Shame on the app and their care for sitters, not feeling good about all the times I’ve been left without payment or cancel last minute literally!

    Hi Andy, we're sorry to hear you've been cancelled on. Currently, there are no fixed cancellation fees imposed on parents on Bubble, however, we always suggest to parents that they add a goodwill payment if they cancel on sitters at short notice. We appreciate that each cancellation scenario is different, and a parent and sitter's expectations in these instances vary quite widely and we provide our customers the tools that make it really easy for them to compensate the sitter - we're sorry it hasn't happened this time. With regards to your account being deactivated, it's hugely important to us that the babysitters on our app are treated well so please drop us an email at support@joinbubble.com, and we'll be happy to look into it for you.
