  • Not good!

    Couldn’t even get past sign up. No code came to my phone but it says I signed up. I just can’t log in.

  • Much more user friendly than the last app!

    This app is great to use. Sometimes it’s a little slow to load, but otherwise fine.

    My only issue is not being able to differentiate the sits. As you have to pick the same rate for everything. On most nannying agencies or babysitting companies you would not pay the same rate for school runs, as a sit in the house, or an outdoor excursion, or late/overnight sit. It would be helpful to have these categories when booking or accepting a sit to help sitters and parents have a service that matches the traditional nannying and babysitting models. Sometimes I’m forced not to accept a sit that are overnight or involves going out because it simply is not viable cost wise, or I would be out of pocket or drastically underpaid.

    Having said that the families I’ve sat for are really friendly and welcoming, and I’ve enjoyed most of my sits... just think the aforementioned is an area needed for development.

  • Best babysitting app ✨

    I love the app and it’s the only one I use for babysitting jobs. It’s a great way to connect with families in your area and to earn extra money, especially as a student. I think it could be improved when it comes to the sit fees, they could be lower. Furthermore, if parents choose to leave a negative review they should say why instead of just giving a thumbs down. The sitter should be able to see their own reviews to see how they can improve instead of just seeing the percentage. The payment should be done straightaway, not days later. Other than that, I love using the app and I had a great experience so far.

  • Bubble review

    App isn’t too bad. Hard to start of with. But as you get more sits the more likely you are to be accepted for a future sit. So definitely good for people who work part time. The platform fee is a bit much but that’s my opinion. When parents send multiple requests for sitters they should choose within 24hrs and not leave us sitters waiting. Just like when a parent sends a sit request bubble text you to accept or decline if you don’t reply quickly. Sitters should be able to see their reviews & parents should have to pay straight after a sit, there should be a penalty like a sitter gets blocked if they cancel a sit. Payments should be made straight away not processed a day or 2 or sometimes even 3 days after. You don’t go to Sainsburys and pay a few days later, you pay straight after your shopping. Overall, good idea. You should be able to see other sitters profiles too.

  • Super sitter

    I have been using Bubble for 4 months. I had a lots of babysitting as a sitter. I love using this application. It gives me really good opportunity and easy to use.

    Just a couple of notes from me:
    - It is quite annoying when I apply for a sit and the parents do not answer for days. It should have a time limit for choosing the sitter.
    - I have a problem when parents are constantly cancelling and/or changing the times. Would be nice to control those situations and respect our time.
    - I am not happy when I have a babysit on Friday night or at weekend and I do not get paid until Monday afternoon.
    - Would be nice to clear the rules sometimes as we are not a housekeeper or nanny. I am always happy to help if they ask me but as a babysit they can’t force me to do laundry, folding clothes etc.
    - That is true, as a sitter it is really hard to start with this app but after you get a lot of requests. Keep doing!
    - I am so curious about my reviews. Why we are not able to see it?
    - Plus charge will be great after midnight.

    Overall I would recommend to use this app as family or sitter.

  • Great App could use improvement!

    This app is a great idea and I’ve used it multiple times. I like many of the features including: being able to see how you are connected to the parent/sitters and the long term or express booking options. I think the app could do with some improvement however: I think as sitters we should be able to see our reviews, the in app messaging service isn’t particularly reliable and some parents don’t complete or keep their profiles up to date which is often misleading at times. I also think the platform fees sitters pay are pretty high even with the super sitters reductions. Especially when a lot of parents only want a one off sit. I will continue to use the app and am on the whole happy with it but hope some improvements are made!

  • Love it!

    Been using Bubble for over a year now and i love it, I’ve met some amazing families and had some really enjoyable sits!

    If you get a number of good reviews you can set your rate high enough and do enough sits and regular families that you can make a decent income and (despite what other reviewers say) you don’t even notice the cut that bubble take.

    There are a few issues, including parents being able to change the time/date of the sit after booking without asking the sitter before hand - presuming that you’ll be available. The occasional family take the mick a bit, for example offering no food or taxi despite long sits and late finishes and asking to do extra work such as supervising sleepovers or housework. This isn’t a fault of the company but i feel they could maybe make it clear to parents how important it is to respect sitters as it sometimes feels like the parents needs are favoured over the sitters. I’m sure these issues will be sorted in due course, i understand it’s a new business.

    Overall i love the app, i really think it does a great job and works amazing if you’re a student looking for a bit of extra cash! Set own rate, availability, distance etc, it’s fab and have recommended to so many friends!

  • Can’t Join With Email

    The login setup fails at “Find Address.” When you enter your zip code it says you need to enter a valid post code. There is bi way around it, so this app is deleted.

  • Not great, there are better babysitter apps

    I have been using the Bubble app for a few months now. As a sitter it is not a user friendly app. I recently applied for a job and have waited more then 5 days to know if I will be working that job or not. I am still waiting, still do not know and it is suppose to be for tomorrow, and I have no way to contact the family to ask if they could kindly let me know. It also takes a long time for Bubble to put my payment into my account. As a sitter I should not have to wait nearly 2 days to get payment. This is very frustrating. This is also the first site I have ever used that has taken a percentage of my pay. Other sites don’t charge the sitters/caregivers- only the parents in need of the service. Due to this it causes my rate to be a little higher so jobs I take are actually worth it.

    Hi Anna, thanks for the feedback. We're always working on ways to improve the service so we will take it on board. On bubble, babysittes get paid within 72 hours (often 24). This is far quicker then most service marketplaces, who make payment to suppliers within 7-10 days typically. Furthermore - babysitters on bubble earn more per hour than they do with other childcare services. This is because they get to set their own rates, as opposed to having their rate capped by an agency. Our fees go towards operating the platform, insurance and secure cashless payment amongst other things. We'll continue working hard to improve all aspects of the service and thanks again for your feedback.
  • Watch out for sneaky charges

    My wife and I have been using this app for about 12 months now and love its ease and simplicity. They’ve started to get really greedy now though and it’s very hard to see how much you’ll get charged.

    Just today I found I got charged a booking fee of £9! Bare in mind the sitter also gets charged and that there was no way to see this up front. If you dig through their website it appears now they charge you £9 rather than the usual £3.50 if it’s within 24hrs and not somebody you’ve used before. £9 extra on a £50 sit seems extortionate to me and just bait and switch given it’s not advertised in the FAQ on the app or shown pre-booking. Everything these days seems to push you towards their subscription.

    In summery, really useful app that I’ve sent lots of people to but the company is just getting greedy.

    Hi Alex. Just to clarify. Pricing on bubble is clearly displayed in multiple places inside of the app before making a booking. You must have been using an old app version if you cannot see this - and we had emailed you and other customers about the pricing updates before and since they went live. Even so, as soon as you notified us about not being aware of the price difference - we had refunded you within minutes. We take transparency very seriously and would never try to be "sneaky" with our customers. We strongly dispute any notion that we are. We're glad you've found the app useful and are proud of the fact that bubble support thousands of parents with their childcare needs, at prices significantly cheaper than traditional childcare services.
