  • An Opportunity to be the Best.

I’ve been online a long time searching for an app where I can find others who love poetry, and appreciate it. I’d say, Poetizer has done that, with the exception of scaring people off with their subscriptions. Like seriously? A poetry app, you have to pay to post poems? Like just say you don’t want people using your app, and move on. Same thing with the community. Why is it so boring? There are great people on this app, but quite literally, nothing to do. Give the app challenges, and something to build the poetry community, so more people come to find it. It’s really stale though. This app has the potential to be yhe best poetry app there is, but it’s plain. Boring. You lose interest, far before you even get to paying the subscription. It’s a good app though, if you want to pay for it.

Hi, thank you for your kind words and constructive criticism; we appreciate you taking the time to share this. You can go to our community profile, ''Team Poetizer'', for poetry prompts and other challenges. • forced to pay just to write???

Crazy how you have to pay just to use this app. There should be an option to be able to write and just post it (not official ‘publishing’) here with ads for free, not just be forced into paying. I had this a long time ago and was able to use it and loved it. I hope to see this app become accessible again

  • Glitchy/needs work

I never write reviews but I wanted to like this app so badly. There were many times when I was in the middle of writing a poem and the app just glitched and completely shut down. When I went back to check if my poem was still there, it was all lost.

This is a great app to show your work, see other’s work, and even make a few friends.

If I had to change some things on it I would start by making it possible to see who all liked your posts rather than just the most recent like.

Then I would make it possible to update a status while posting your work so you can actually explain what inspired it and what it is about.

  • Question

When are people outside of the states going to be able to create, publish, order and sell their book & merch? I’ve been using this app for quite some time now and I’m itching to publish my first book.

    Developer Response

Hi! Thanks for your interest in publishing and creating your own merch! We're happy to have you onboard and ready to share your words with more people. We do not yet have the finances necessary to be able to expand those services, however, this has long been on our roadmap and we are working hard to make it happen. • Great concept but unhinged poetry

i wanted to get back into poetry and thought this would be a great app for it. 3 seconds into browsing other people’s work and i see nothing but hot garbage. this isn’t even criticism, it’s factual. some of these people need to sober up before they write, jesus christ. i would love to provide an example but most of them are too vulgar to display.

this isn’t a slight against the app however, just the community. the developers did a great job with the layout and interface, I just wish there i could see more inspirational and beautiful content, like poetry is supposed to be, instead of whatever some of these users spew out.

Thank you for your feedback and compliments on our app's design. Poetry, as an art form, indeed encompasses a wide range of expressions and styles, and not all may align with everyone's unique preferences. To enhance your experience, we highly recommend utilizing the "following" feature. By following authors whose work resonates with you, you can curate your reading experience. This way, your "following" feed becomes a personalized space filled with poetry that inspires and speaks to you. Thanks again for your feedback.
  • Disappointed

I started on Poetizer when it was free and met so many amazing people, I wrote so much great stuff. There were aspects you could pay for but you could still download the app and do everything you needed to for free. I am so disappointed in them turning it only into a paid app, since they put up the pay wall I can no longer access any of my previous work that I spent years developing. I can’t talk to any of the friends I made on there, nor can I write any new material. This app is now a complete pay wall, and I resent the fact that I would have to pay them to access my own material. It was truly becoming something so great and wholesome and now those who are truly broke artists will not have that great community any longer. It’s been a real let down, I am saddened that they wouldn’t have at least grand fathered the previous members of the app for free service. I am sad for myself and many others that lost all of there material and writing that they put their heart and soul into. This app seems to have turned into a money grab when it was once an amazing safe space.

  • Loved this app, now I’m turned off.

I used to use this app not only for myself but for my youth program to encourage my teens to continue writing outside of our programming, I’m pretty sure most of them are not going to be able to subscribe for reasons of money since a lot of their families have to prioritize basic needs over fun.
Not only that, but now I can’t even share, or look at my drafts without subscribing. It almost feels like you’ve stolen my creative content. That I am absolutely not ok with, it is my own intellectual property and I’m very much angered by this, I personally don’t mind subscribing but first I tried to just share one of my poems with a friend and couldn’t even share a link without the subscription popping up, couldn’t look at my drafts without the subscription popping up, where exactly is the line here? I’m not sure I want anything to do with a goaltending poetry app. I have to hand write and screenshot what I have access to, and scrap the rest. How incredibly inconvenient…. And I wrote the stuff. Wow. Idk, it definitely seems very shady.

  • HELP!

I already have a 2 posts on this app, and I haven’t been on it in a few months and have forgotten how to post. Is this something you have to pay for now? I’ve tried to click every button and there doesn’t seem to be one to post. I’m sorry if this is me being dumb but I’m very confused. I’ll give ya 5 stars if ya tell me how! (Don’t mind my cringe user on the AppStore, I made it a long time ago haha)

Hi, thanks for your question. To post a poem, you need to have the subscription. You may start a free two-week trial and then if you wish to continue, you can remain on a monthly plan or annual plan. If you have any questions, we'd be happy to help at support@poetizer.com. Thanks!
  • Great idea!

I know that nowadays there are millions of social apps but Poetizer is a truly unique one! Of course, there are many improvements that could be made. Some of my suggestions would be to be able to put poems into folders so that we could organize them better, especially poets who have hundreds of writings. Another suggestion would be to have a better free version for people who want to enjoy the app and don’t mind ads. Its a big commitment to pay for a service that has not proven itself yet.

My most recent grievance is that my notifications section is empty and cannot engage properly with the community since I can’t see which of the poets I follow have posted or see who has left likes and comments on my work.
