Blessed by this app
Moved by tears listening to books of the Bible I’ve studied. The delivery is so emotionally moving, and the translation is so easily understood. Thank you so much for all your effort in making the Word of God alive and understandable. Thank you for incorporating the arts (music and poetry) so that our harden hearts can be soften by the beauty of art. Amazing!

Love it
Love the beat under the reading of the Bible. And pretty accurate. I'm not sure exactly what they're reading but I think it's ESV.
My only complaint is that each chapter is the same beat. Maybe switch the beats up every now & then but keep the voice reading??
Also, PLEASSEE make an update where I can control the app/chapters with my lock screen.
I keep having to unlock and go thru the trouble to click out, and then click to the next chapter every time it's finished.
I can't continuously listen in the car or on the bus.
Other than the lock screen issue, I love what I've used so far.
PS: sometimes it gets glitchy / ill switch to a new chapter and it'll keep playing the old one at the same time..

Love this app! (Some tech issue please fix)
I’ve been using this app for about a year now since I fully surrendered to Jesus and it’s wonderful to get the word like this! It’s easy to listen to and absorb, God bless y’all!
Ever since the last update, there has been one or two major issues. if the phone is locked, it will not play the next track/chapter unless you open the app directly. (Ex. If the phone is locked, you must unlock it, go to the app, and then it will play the next track)
It also will not pause at all or go to the next chapter unless you go directly to the app itself (ex. it will not pause by pressing pause on headphones)
The app is wonderful and seriously such a gift! The fact that it is free is incredible and such a blessing, honestly I feel like I can’t even complain since it’s free! However, these issues do seriously affect the apps quality, these problems were nonexistent prior to the update, please fix!

Continuous Play
Hey fam,
Just wanted to say thank you for your work on this app and for your freely given gifts to us. Just curious if I’m missing a function on where I can keep it playing while I’m on the road. It seems to stop after each chapter.

Please bring back continuous play
I absolutely love your app but since the update I’ve had to unlock my phone to move to the next chapter in each book which is super annoying. Please, please get this fixed!
New Update Issues
Love this app! But the latest update doesn’t allow the audio bible to go chapter to chapter while it’s in the background or if phone locks; only if the app is open will it go to the next chapter. Prior version allowed me to listen to an entire book with the app in the background or screen locked. Can we please look into fixing this?

Good listening
I really do enjoy SL, I think it’s something long over due. As someone with a very busy schedule when I can’t sit down to read my bible listening to SL really helps keep me engaged while listing. I like the addition of new books I look forward to the complete bible being available.
The only things that I find to be unpleasant is each time it updates, I have to create a new account each time, and the “favorites” I’ve marked are gone. This new update also doesn’t seem to offer a “favs” which is a bit disappointing. Having to create an account that doesn’t seem to even have a purpose is not necessary, having to enter a first and last name, age and email every time there’s an update gets tiresome. Having to recreate a playlist also. For myself, I listen while at work and certain tracks I found to help me best while in the workplace. Having to redo that every update makes me want to find something else to listen to rather than redo the list every single time. Like other apps, I wish updates didn’t erase everything, just add new content or futures without wiping everything out.
Over all, it’s a good app and a fun way to help engage the listener, I hope this feed back helps with future updates. Some people may not care about the little things some do, but over all I’m glad SL is even here. For the reasons listed I give 4 out of 5 stars.

Hip-Hop and Scripture
Who would’ve known this would be such a brilliant combination....I don’t leave review for anything but I must say that this definitely deserves one. It’s one of the most unique tools in scripture reading and understanding that I’m privileged to have access to using. The extra resources such as Corner Talk have done a whole lot in painting a wholistic picture of who Jesus is and how His claims still hold ground today while never disrupting the context in which they were mentioned. Thank you Streetlights and the team for essentially transforming the way I read (and hear) scripture, completely!!!
