  • Good side gig

    When I do get assignments, everything is great… good communication with the person scheduling you and the client. Times are flexible to fit my schedule, they provide a shot list of what they need you to photograph, and uploading your pics is quick and easy. I have been on this platform for a couple years and look forward to getting assignments.

  • Great product

    I’ve used PhotoSesh many times. Photographers have always been very professional and have done a great job! I would recommend using them to anyone in need of a photographer!
  • No response after applying

    I am surprised to see that after more than a week of applying to become a photographer on their platform they have not gotten back to me, having send some sensitive information about myself.
  • Concerning

    I downloaded the app and emailed in my personal information so they could run a background check and complete the 1099. It’s now been 10 days and I have emailed more than once for an update and I have heard NOTHING in return. Super sketchy. I need to figure out where to report them.

    Hi Lauren, It looks like you are approved on our end. You should have received a note in the app saying you were conditionally approved. If and when a customer books you in order to receive payment you would have to make sure you are in good status with our payment process Stripe to disburse any funds due to you. So they have their own approval process. And other than that, you should be all set. We just completed a transition from our old payment processor Braintree over to a Stripe which is much more efficient. All info is securely stored with them and we don’t have access. Hope you get to re-rate us when you get to experience more of our platform. We can’t control if clients decide to book you or not. So we don’t charge any listing fees. Only a commission when you complete jobs. Sometimes we have nationwide shoots for multi location brands where we may send requests your way. Either way we hope you benefit from our platform in the future. - The PhotoSesh Team

    Offered me a national campaign job for well known brand. $90…. 😂. Hacks!!!!

    We understand that the rate wasn’t to your liking. So you can accept or decline them as you please. You can also set minimum durations and even set your own rate per hour within the app. As for the nationwide enterprise photo campaign we had under contract, they were relatively simple shoots. We get a lot of large multi location brands that are looking for a scalable affordable solution. The photos don’t need to much post production either. They are mostly shots of parking lots, nearby intersections, office/store front, and some interior lobby photos. Most photographers across the county took about 30 min to shoot these types of locations. These shoots are great for any photographer that has gaps in their schedule and want to score some quick simple gigs. But jobs from our platform by no means will replace your existing business. This is hopefully a tool to help supplement your business. We built this platform using feedback from the photographer community and we appreciate your input. - The PhotoSesh Team
  • The Worst

    If you’re a photographer run away FAST!!! There is no support when a customer backs out and leaves you hanging. They do not answer the phone because all agents are busy but they’re not too busy to craft an epic email turning everything into your fault when a customer cancels. I could see if they were posing a decent rate but for their bottom of the barrel pay I’d expect done kind of support. I’m not going to drag over 5k in lenses and bodies around for 80 bucks a shoot.

    Hi Charles, We’re awfully sorry about the miscommunication. We believe the disconnect was when we asked you, “Please confirm ASAP and we will then confirm with the office and then connect you via email.” So after you confirmed with us we never received confirmation from the office location so couldn’t fully confirm the shoot for you. We were trying to mutually confirm to ensure the shoot is indeed happening and this was our miss. For regular bookings that are not part of the nationwide enterprise campaigns it’s much more simple because you get direct access to the customer and communicate with them right away. As for the enterprise multi location clients, we’re now also encouraging photographers and office managers to open the line of communication directly to reduce this issues. We’ve improved the process dramatically since then with more automation, and hope you understand the rare miscommunication here. We’ll do better. P.S. Glad you had a great experience with that other similar location.
  • Highly Disappointed

    I received a job to do through this company. After completing the job I was not paid and they claim that the error was on stating that I entered payment information wrong, which was not true! I still haven’t been paid for the job that I’ve completed and it been almost a month at this point. They have stopped replying to my emails and no one answers the phone number that is on their site! If you’re a photographer DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE PAID!

    Hi Danielle, I’m glad this ended up getting resolved. As we had a lot of back and forth advocating for you with our payment processor Braintree (a PayPal company). We only had the info they gave us and relayed to you everything that was received on their side. We’re also glad that we were able to pay you more than double the amount due in thanks to your helpful feedback. Also happy to report that we have moved on from Braintree. We're excited to announce that after seven years with Braintree (a PayPal company), we've began the transition to Stripe for payment processing. Braintree has recently become an absolute headache last year and it looks PayPal continues to downsize this division that handles marketplace payments. Another tell tale sign that they may not be applying as much of their resources to this department as they had in the past. Our switch to Stripe is set to enhance our experience, offering smoother transactions, much improved support, and efficient handling of domestic and international payments.
