  • Extra income

I first was a repeat PhotoSesh customer before signing up to become a photographer. Always thought the concept was so smart! I’m always the one taking photos and get asked especially at sports tournaments if I can photograph the games from other parents! While I haven’t booked a gig just yet since I am still figuring out my availability, though it was a pretty straight forward process. Yes, you need provide some personal information for payment but EBay, Poshmark, Mercari, etc. also will ask you for this information to report to IRS if you make over a certain amount. If you’re looking for a cash gig, then I would look elsewhere for business like FB or word of mouth referrals.

Looking forward to making some extra money on the side doing something I love..photography! G

  • Great App for photographer side hustles

I love this application and the group at PhotoSesh has a lot of photographer opportunities to earn using this fantastic app.
  • Growing

We hear more and more photographers using the platform and the jobs are starting to increase in flow. Especially after you get your first job completed and get reviewed with a rating.
  • Brilliant app!

This is a great way to land some extra gigs to fill holes in my schedule! It costs me nothing to sign up. Sharing my availability when I am traveling gets me some cool side work too! The app is super simple - by syncing my calendar the app detects openings in my schedule. The customers seem happy to have great prices and accessibility to photographers! So happy to be a photographer on photosesh! I love all the new features and improvements with each update!

  • Doesn’t pay on time

While this app is a great idea, the people running it on the back end are unprofessional and don’t always pay on time. I’m still waiting on a payment after two weeks. Good luck!

    Developer Response

Hi Aryka, This was a very unusually occurrence as we have a flawless reputation for payment. Unfortunately there was a rare error with your transaction from our payment processor Braintree (a PayPal company). We were extremely transparent throughout the situation even sharing emails with you regarding the Braintree team trying to investigate. We’re just glad that the payment went through successfully. Still to this day, nobody knows what happened with that transaction and we apologize for that delay. We process thousands of transactions successfully on our platform and that was the only instance where there was an issue. Here was the last we heard from Braintree on the issue: Nick VZ (Braintree) Mar 31, 2022, 10:02 AM CDT Hi, Nick VZ here again. Our Treasury team has re-imported this transaction into Funding and anticipates that the disbursement process will occur today. I will check on the submerchant's transfers tomorrow to confirm. I hope that this helps! We will also be conducting an investigation as to why this behavior occurred. Please let me know if you have any questions -- otherwise, I'll reach out again after I've confirmed the transfer status. Best, Nick VZ | he, him | Braintree Senior Technical Support Engineer
  • Not working well.

Trying to go to the job I booked through this app literally right now but the start travel button isn’t working. Looks like I will have to cancel the job. This isn’t the first time it glitched either. I missed my first booking because the notification never showed up for it. And for this one the notification went to my email but not to my phone. So the notifications don’t work well either. This app is a nice idea but it needs more work.

  • Started out well

When I first signed up, the app worked and I was getting booked. Now the app is so buggy that I can’t update my profile in any way (info, portfolio, etc) without the app crashing.
  • Another place to have your identity stolen

This app asks for so much personal and financial information upfront. Legal address, last four of SS number & banking info. So it’s just another place to have your Identity stolen. Other places I’ve worked for that want to issue a 1099 don’t ask you for that much information, it’s just simply not that necessary to have all that info.
If someone wants to gather information from you maybe you shouldn’t do it on an app and go through a third party background check company. One that will have a secure log in and/or encrypted website that is verified secure. Otherwise you’re just putting all your information up in the air for someone to snatch it.
Aside from that, the app looks rinky-dink including the app graphic and some of the links provided to the “profile overview” email they first send you.

  • HORRIBLE PHOTOGRAPHER SUPPORT!!

I was very excited about using this service as an additional revenue stream. However, I’m unable to end booked sessions and their customer support team will not return messages, voicemails, emails, etc... It’s a shame because there are going to be upset clients not receiving the work they want because the photographer isn’t getting paid.

Get you stuff together Photosesh, this is unacceptable!

  • Trash

Customer Support is nonresponsive. Clients can book shoots and cancel last minute and you are in no way compensated despite PhotoSesh charging them a cancellation charge. Requests are sparse. Most shoots I am booked for are occurring within the hour. When I initially signed up for the platform, none of the requests were even in my state. No matter the case, it’s always been a hassle getting in touch with CS. Deleting ASAP.
