  • Lovely — With a Major Flaw

I’ve had Viridi for a looong time now. I don’t check it every day, but in anxious moments when I need to calm down and do a mental reset, I like using this app to make me stop and focus on the task at hand (watering my plants, rearranging my pot, etc). It’s a lovely and simple app that’s perfect for calming down and distracting.

My only problem in the flashing sequence that occurs when you haven’t been on for a few days. I understand that it is supposed to signal the passage of days and nights, but the fast flickering between a bright and dim screen give me a headache and make my heart race (not what I want in a calming app!). I worry that it could trigger seizures in those with conditions such as epilepsy, although I’m not sure if the exact sequence of flashing would trigger epileptic seizures (I’m just speculating). I just know that from personal experience, it makes me feel physically bad. What if there was a settings tab that included the option to turn this flashing sequence off? Or, for safety, maybe it should be off by default? Would love to see some changes made!!

  • A must have app!

I have owned four different phones in the last 4-5 years and this is always on my phone. The art style is simplistic and vivid, UI is sleek and the additional pots are creative and welcome. I do hope there will be more pots with interesting backdrops that are free. As for the succulents themselves, I love getting a random freebie succulent every once in a while. Keeps me motivated to keep checking the green house to see what I get!

I love simulation games like this, I hope there is more to come in the future.

  • Annoying

I like the idea of this game but find it a bit frustrating when placing plants, they need a lot of space around them, even the ones that don’t grow very big, so there’s a lot of gaps
I’d like to be able to group some of the plants together so they have a more artistic arrangement, disappointing.
  • Preferred App

One of my favourite apps ever. I love the concept, the continuity but also that I don’t absolutely have to check in once a day, or even for several days. When I do I can take care of everything in a minute or two, or I can spend as much time as I want at it. The music is fantastic also. I have used it and enjoyed it as something to fall asleep to more than any ambient sleep app I’ve found. I wish only that I could have more pots, or a larger garden, and that the roster of plants would grow or expand. A bigger garden with cacti or other succulents, or even expanding into other types of plants or trees. It would be fun to be able to rotate the plants in the pot too and be able to fine tune the tableau. But even as it is without additions or uogrades and expansions this is an app I will not delete and will continue to use and enjoy. As potential incentive for expansion I will state that if larger gardens and more new plants became available I would definitely invest actual currency towards obtaining those things and helping to financially support the development, maintenance and expansion of this app. I certainly already promote it to friends. Thank you very much for Viridi, the app, the concept and absolutely the fantastic music as well 😊❤️

  • Very calming

The gameplay is very chill, the plants are cute and I love the art style. One thing I don’t enjoy about the game is if you’ve not gone on to the app for a few days they fast forward through the days, which means fast flashing lights.
So be careful if you are epileptic, your warning is the play button that appears. It can last several seconds if you’ve not been on the app in awhile.

  • Beautiful, but;

I really like this game and it’s really pretty and fun. but I cannot even get another pot without paying real money... it doesn’t even seem to have the option to save up some sort of in-game currency to buy it without real money like in other free-ish games, the only option is to spend actual money !?

I’d give full stars if it only had a way to earn more pots without spending money, even if that meant I had to watch ad’s!

So yea other than that, it’s so amazing! one of the first games I put on whenever I get a new phone 😊

  • I love this! But...

This game is extremely relaxing, as well as anxiety-reducing. I’ve been playing for-yes I know-just a few days, but I still love this game! The way you can grow plants at real time is just like real plants! And the ambiance is just perfect.

Although I have seen a few reviews that are from a year ago, saying that their plants completely reset, sometimes with a different pot, and this game was updated two years ago, so I’ll watch out for that. (Please update soon, no one wants to become attached to something dearly, working hard for it, and suddenly its gone. Despite that, I know you’re a new-ish game that needs funds, and more people playing it, so just do what you do.) Everything else though is fantastic!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Best App I Own.

Literally the best, I’ve had this app for over 2 years now and it has given me a constant small time of peace every time I open it, it has helped my patience grow and overall has had a really positive impact on me. I’ve had the exact same garden for 2 years and I love it to death! Thanks for the amazing game

  • Get. This. Right. Now.

So, I recently downloaded this application, and it is just WONDERFUL. I suffer from anxiety, and this really helped me calm down. I would really recommend it.
  • Great Game! A Suggestion I Hope You Add

I really like the game so far! It is super relaxing and the music is rather calming. Viridi is wonderful as a relaxation game to me, because unlike other “idle” games, it is not a chore. I like how Viridi is a calming game that lives on its purpose: It does not add stress to your brain by requiring you to collect, gain, or complete something. You can just sit and relax. Never have I played a relaxing game that does not involve gaining in-game money to upgrade, or do tasks that would have made the game a “chore!”

However, I do want to add some suggestions. I am aware that Viridi is only a young game, so I get that there are microtransactions. However, I would like a couple more ways to get succulents for free, maybe by watching ads by choice or gaining free succulents a little more frequently. Additionally, maybe there should be more active pots, despite the fact players can get one for $5. No need to add too many pots, but I would like a second pot to create yet another relaxing scene. One pot is relaxing for me, but not merely fun enough. I would like more than this, but perhaps you can save it for a future update (when Viridi can stand on its own, as there are enough funds).

I look forward for updates. Please update, as it has been a while as I noted. I love this game!
