Great app… one thing though…

I use this app ALL the time for scheduling my work and family life.

One tiny improvement for me would be the inclusion of a little icon which lets you know if anything has been written in the notes/URL boxes. I add info in there about my work schedule and would be easier for my partner to see if there are additional notes, such as working hours/overnights etc, detailed in there, without having to click into each event. Just a simple note icon would do the trick. Please. Thanks.

Add reminder in calendar

Great app, but I need this to update to a app that can show both of my schedule and my reminder events, since i need to find a right time to finish my reminder events based on my schedule. Please update this as soon as possible, I really need it! Thanks!

Desperately needs an upgrade

Apples determination to stick by this dreadful layout continues to baffle me. As a company that is renowned for its ever changing and up scaling - why it continues to have a calendar app with a month view that tells you nothing is beyond me. I switched to google calendar for this reason - but now I have a home pod I’d like the ability to verbally add events to my calendar if needed. But of course - it defaults to adding it to the old apple calendar app.
Apple - wake up and get with the times. In an age where people use their mobile phones more like a mini home office - you should be working on improving this app to be more accessible, visually workable, and more useful! An old fashioned paper calendar is more easily readable!

Good

It’s a good calendar. I just wish on the month view, I could see details like the Google calendar, instead of dots.

Love but needs reminders

I absolutely love iCal to organize my day to day throughout all my devices but if it wants 5 stars they NEED to add reminders. Just like Gcal and Fantastical. Please

I like this app but it could be improved

I like this app. Its easy to use and set appointments in it. You can even set repeating Events to some degree. Like most bills are due monthly so you can set an event like say a payment reminder for your Netflix or Disney+ account and set it to repeat monthly. You can even set daily, weekly, every 2 weeks, or, monthly events. There’s even a custom that lets you do events that say repeat every 2, 3, 4, or however many days you want to set it to repeat, but what it doesn’t have is a way to set an event that happens like every 3rd Saturday of the month. Because each month has different number of days in it you can’t use the every so many days function because it throws it off. Like for example if an event is every 4th Thursday of the month but the previous month had 5 Thursdays it would throw off the count. So having a way to specify every 4th Sunday or Thursday or whatever day of the month would fix this problem cause as for now I have to create an event for each month manually and that is super time consuming! So Apple please update this app and free up my time to do other things. Thank you in advance!

Used to be good

I’ve always used the calendar app for birthdays and stuff but a couple months ago they decided that even if your yearly event was supposed to notify you it didn’t you can manually go in and set the notification back up but it would’ve been much easier if they just left it also around the same time this issue occurred I got a visual bug where every day shows that it’s got an event how am I supposed to use the app if every day has a little dot under it that’s please fix also I’m not putting any grammar in this review because I don’t want to

One dot a day is minimal help

Apple coud make one simple improvement. On the Apple monthly calendar, you see the day numbers and a single dot under each day you have an appointment - for one or many events that day you only see one dot. If you're like me you have a dot on every day of the month, but you can't tell at a glance at just one dot which days are really busy and which days are just one event. So when you're looking for a less busy day to schedule something, you must open every day individually to find out how many events there are for that one dot. Wouldn't it be nice to have at least three colored dots: say for morning, afternoon, and evening events. Then on a day where you only have one single event, say morning event, you would see one morning colored dot, then you could easily schedule something in the afternoon or evening without having to struggle to find an opening.

Needs monthly event view

It’s fine, but I really wish you could see events in the month view for the whole month, not just a particular day. It makes it difficult to plan and coordinate events. I liked that it matches with the calendar app on my computer. But finally going to change calendar apps now.

Less than Basic

When looking at the Apple calendar app, you see the day numbers and a single dot under each day you have an appointment - even if it's five appointments you only see one dot. If you're like me you have a dot on every day of the month, but you can't tell which days are really busy and which days are one event. So you can't tell how busy you are when you're looking for a day to schedule something on a less busy day, unless you look at every day to find out how many events are on that day for that one dot.

Wouldn't it be nice to have at least three dots: one color each for morning, afternoon, and evening events. Then on a day where you only have one single event, say morning event, you would see one morning colored dot, and say you want to meet a friend for dinner some evening in the month, you could schedule something without having to struggle to find days you could fit that or other things into your schedule. And if the programmers are capable, maybe you could even have more than three dots on a day!!! Other Calendar apps can do that! I use to have Fantastical until they went subscription and I don't have a business to make that subscription cost worth it.
