Missing calendar items
I am enjoying using the Apple calendar however I am not too sure whether or not it is to do with Apple or my device but my calendar events keep disappearing and not allowing me to add any events which is completely unacceptable along with having my messages & call lists of missed calls, made calls & received calls that I have made disappear and I wish to write this to both make these complaints & request advice on how I can permanently fix these as I am now currently on 16.4.1a and I hope that this means that I will not incur any more issues & I hope that these issues which I am expecting & have been experiencing are able to stop now & I am able to just use my iPhone normally with no trouble

Simple and easy to use
I use Calendar for purely personal use, so I can’t comment on social features. For myself, trying to stay organised with ADHD is often a struggle, but I am able to be far more productive and forget important events far less with Calendar. Simple and straight forward in it’s use, I like being able to choose the colours for different calenders from a full spectrum, and not just a handful of curated colours.
One downside; I would like to be able to delete past/saved events that keep being suggested when I create new events with similar names. Perhaps if there was a way to remove these from being able to be suggested? As of now I’ve had to make an entirely new calendar just to seperate these events, but the old ones from two years ago are still quite often the first ones suggested!

Can’t live without my calendar
Most things I don’t want to forget go onto my calendar. I like that I can set the time alert and a 2nd alert too. It’s become a second memory and allows me to check things I’ve planned or have planned in the past so no need for a diary. The alarm ring tone on the day also helps which I do change occasionally as you can get used to it and I can be known to ignore it after a while so a change is good. I make good use of it. I’d be just without it.

Ratings Fixed?
All the previous times I have checked this calendar, it has had ratings around 3.2 out of 5 (might even have been 2.8 at one stage). I check today (April 2023) and it has shot up to 4.8 out of 5!! How?? It is still lacking in many areas and has not really improved since those low ratings. There is still no ‘month’ calendar view on iphone. How is this 4.8??
**May 2023 - These ratings are fixed. Multiple ‘reviews’ on the same dates. Many ‘reviews’ extolling the virtues of the calendar?! On one ‘Tues’ alone, there must have been around 15 reviews. Another date had about 12 reviews for that day. Methinks a BOT or paid employee did this. There are also many other ‘multiple’ day reviews throughout the review process - all strangely in recent months.
Constant ‘Multiple’ day reviews? Never happens!

SO PRACTICAL
I have made more use of the Calendar since I retired than when I was working: personal, car repair, doctor and many other appointments; anniversaries & birthdays; social events; getaways; and the occasional job like election judge. So not only does it help me keep track of my life events but through the family sharing option it also helps my wife and I coordinate appointments that involve both of us.
Another feature that I enjoy is how the app pulls up information from a similar past event as you create a new appointment. For instance when I create an Eye Dr appointment, the app will present the info that I can select from my last appointment if I named it Eye Dr; I may have to adjust the time and date but it certainly convenient to have some of the details entered automatically.
Life at work was so uncomplicated!

The amazing qualities of the calendar app
As I struggle to remember all of the pointless events filling my brain space and life, there has been one thing helping me manage to complete these impossible tasks. For example, I was asked out by exactly 41 human woman on a romantic excursion to the McDonald’s play place. I would not have possibly been able to figure out when to attend this beautiful excursion through my busy schedule filled with dumpster diving, important business trips, and many other crucial exponents to my very busy schedule without the amazing calendar app. It assisted me in times when I needed assistance, picked me up when I needed to be lifted, and much much more. I can not express my undying love for this amazing tool and I am incredibly thankful to those who created it. Thank you apple, my life has been fulfilled.

Calendar is great
Just one thing that has occurred since a previous update. Every time I try to record a date & time of appointments and then afterwards add the name of the appointment, the date and time change to another date & time. If I don’t double check it saves with wrong date & time! Very frustrating !
If I put name first it doesn’t change, but when you are dealing with busy people & under pressure it is better to get the date & time first!!
Otherwise it is very convenient.

It's awesome!
I love this calendar, as it's great. It has when times of when you want the event or things you need to do going on, and the type of calendar you want! It's great, I've been using for years, and it's great!
The only thing is it remember's the previous things that went on it.. it's something I wouldn't mind if it doesn't get repeated when you write the event as it brings up the previous being named the similar thing.. but at the same time it brings up, an event that you would loved from that time... ❤️

Calendar Suggestions
- Should be able to edit color coding, to change priority of what colored entry appears first, second, etc.
- Can you change/edit font size so that you can enter more than 8 entries that appear on the screen?
- Need more emojis that correspond with calendar entries-I’m not a huge emoji fan, but sometimes like to post and entry with an emoji to catch my eye (e.g., I post a basketball emoji for my favorite college basketball team schedule to ensure I don’t miss the games)
- I like how entries in my Contacts folder will appear on the calendar, but wish I could scroll over a calendar entry to have a ‘note’ appear when needed/desired.
- Overall, I’m still learning and enjoy using iCal, as I was a two+ decade user of a competing brand, but finally made the move to use all Apple programs for synching sake on all the family’s devices.

Very Flexible
I spent ages trying to find an app that would allow me to keep track of my wife’s 10 week shift rota. Ant was prepared to spend big money on it but could find noting suitable. I eventually posted a call for help on FB, and was told by one of my Apple friends that a already had one. I set a shared calendar shared with my wife and daughter and put each day of the 10 weeks in on a 70 Day repeat admittedly it took a long time to do and check but it was defiantly time well spent.
