Perfect Timing!

I just went to use the app and now I can’t indent like I’ve been doing for years which ruins the entire workflow I created for myself. Luckily the app distracted me to try and acquire a rating; perfect timing! You should leave ‘backwards people’ like me that don’t like change behind. I’ve been learning to do without; and despite this being my last iPhone anyways, it’s just another nail in the coffin. Don’t worry about my opinion; don’t let it sway you from your ‘best life’ 😄 It probably is really nice and has new features; but I’d rather be a bit behind your ‘cutting edge improvements’, and have stability in the things I use in my daily routine. A difference in outlook; which is why I’m typing this on the only remaining Apple device I have, until it breaks (it’s been 2 years, I’m due). Then I’m off to something new; so really, don’t mind me 🤡

Update: It reverted back AFTER I submitted this review and I adjusted (haphazardly) to the new ‘system’; and ruined the lists I made 😄. Trying for the 3rd time get the grocery list organized before I go into the store; if I left 10 minutes before it would have reverted while I was in there

I know, first world problems; but like I said, I’ll just rely on you less now 🤷🏻

Finally! Tasks on Calendar!

For at least 15 years I’ve been asking for Reminders to link with iCal because tasks take TIME and thus, if you have a day full of appointments AND a to do list full of items you’re always behind. And just scheduling every task as an appointment is annoying because it takes too long to fuss with just how long you estimate a task will take… Now I can scheduled tasks for a day - and be sure to fit them in around appointments and also schedule certain tasks AS appointments. I also use Reminders Tasks to remind of of things I need to be sure to say or cover in a meeting so having reminders show up on an appointment is great. But I’d like to ask for one more thing… let’s now make reminders easier to move around IN iCal… because we dont always finish every task each day and we need to easily reschedule tasks for future dates or roll them over to tomorrow.

Can’t use it if I wanted to.

Apple’s determination to have everything stored on iCloud means in the real world, they’ve eliminated me from using this app. Some companies I work with simply don’t allow iCloud usage for security reasons. After lengthy and tedious battles with Apple support (that clearly have no clue what they’re doing) insisting on screen sharing sensitive company information they admit there’s no way to transfer information between computers outside of iCloud. By doing so they’ve forced me out. The app simply isn’t an option. I’ve fought with Apple about a basic ‘Save to device’ function and as long as they remain defiant I have no choice but to find an option created by people that support their users rather than themselves. Oh, and the update button provides no update - it just forces iCloud usage again. Totally unusable app served up with typical Apple arrogance.

What a reminder app should be

After years of using one of the other market leading apps I’ve fully moved over to Apple Reminders. It’s on all my devices, works well, simple to use. I can add people into my reminders.
Shame it’s not compatible with older versions of the app such as on my old iPad Mini and integration with Apple calendar could be better but that aside it’s a brilliant way to get on top of those things so easy to forget. Update to review. Now under iOS 18 it is possible to have reminders show up in the Calendar app which makes Reminders App even more useful.

Great app! Highly recommend!

I have been using this app for years now to remind me of so many different things such as appointments, special dates, when to take prescriptions, when to make a special phone call, and so many more different reminders. If I want to remember something on a future date I enter it. It's so very easy to use. I can delete reminders that are finished to keep it cleaned up. I can set option to repeat it regularly or as a one time reminder. I can add a note. Adding a phone number creates a link to the phone app to directly dial it. Adding new reminders is easy. Editing existing ones also easy. I'm 74 .. At my age it is good to have a tool like this, even though my memory is still good and in tact, I use this app so I don't need to worry about forgetting important things having to do with a time line. Plus these reminders are saved automatically in my iCloud account so I won't lose the list.
Best reminder app I've ever used.

Life requirement

If you don’t have this app or something like it then you simply aren’t doing as well as you can. So much to remember and so many responsibilities to yourself and to others we humans simply need help such as this to keep track and stay on top if ever that’s possible of our duties and our lists from groceries to bucket. Like anything there is always room for improvement. No doubt that will be ongoing as it is with everything worthwhile.

The BEST

This app is GREAT!!! I use to use Apple Notes but now use Reminders daily. You can talk into Reminders and/or type into it. For instance, I have shared with my hubby the Grocery list which we use to use in Notes. Now we can speak into Reminders & it automatically goes in and puts the item under the title of say Produce or Canned Goods. My hubby is an ole guy and he caught on quickly and is now using it regularly. I can also speak an item into the car (linked by Bluetooth) while Im driving. Who cud ask for anything more, I ask you.

Excellent app

Apple reminders is excellent in its execution of a to do list.
I have used multiple apps for this same purpose over the past 10 years. None other offers as seamless integration between devices nor the flexibility of categorising tasks.
Further, the ability to synchronise with other task apps such as exchange allows for congruence between personal tasks and work based projects.
Again, iCloud’s upload functionality works so effectively. I found myself neurotically trying to get other platforms to sync. Not the case here.
Please continue the excellent work.
