  • Additions to App

My partner and I have done F45 for years now and over time have noticed that the meal plans have become very focussed with foods on trend and apparent super foods. In previous challenges we felt they were a lot more cleansing. We have both made comments that we would like to see the app have a favourite function on meals so that when we don’t like the meal option we can easily go to our favourites list and find one that we do as it is time consuming otherwise and we tend to go off course in the challenge.

  • Needs Work

Decent app but backwards in several ways. Two big improvements needed are 1) using sample photos that actually look like the meals you're preparing.. 2) using food names as they are named in each country. Many of the foods in the app are the Australian names but they are different in the UK and elsewhere.

  • Great

Love the app. I just wish there was a way to “save” my favourite recipes and go back to previous challenge meal plans.
  • More flexibility to select a customised menu

Overall I love the app but please consider changing the app so that we can select serving sizes, which then updates the shopping list. I follow the full plan but have to cook extra for dinner so my whole family can eat the same. It takes so much time working this all out every weekend. It would also be good if we could swap meals for similar, sometime I don’t like the same meal 2-3 days in a row.
Quite often I will cook extra for dinner so that I can eat for lunch the next day, so on a busy weekend when I have no time to meal prep I only have to worry about cooking dinner, by adjusting the above mentioned there would be the flexibility to do that .

  • Great potential

Along with all the other comments that I totally agree with this app could really do with a specific iPad version and be compatible in Landscape mode. This would be really helpful when I’m in the kitchen cooking and trying to follow the recipes!
  • Fine but major issues

The shopping lists don't seem to allow you to choose between meat / vegetarian / vegan to match the menu you chose? There's meat in every shopping list, so does it also include everything for vegan and vegetarian?

The shopping lists should only show you what to buy based on the menu you selected.
  • Huge potential but need improvements

If you did a F45 class you probably know how sick it is. Great trainers, great workout and great atmosphere.
I am doing the 8 weeks challenge and using this app daily, although I can see a huge potential there are so many things that needs to be improved:
    1. Ingredients names should follow the country this app is downloaded in. We live in the UK, please call peppers, “peppers” and not capsicum, or buckini, buckwheat.
    2. The measure units are a mess, cups, grams, tsp, tbsp in the same recipe. It’s such a waste of time googling how much is a cup in ml or grams, please fix this.
    3. I know this will be a massive process but for such a high end gym, the pictures of the recipes should follow the actual recipe. Especially to help newbies.
    4. I love the choice of recipes, however if you want to meal prep you have to calculate quantities yourself, it would be great if you can select a recipe and tell the app “I want to make 6 portions of this” and you automatically have the quantities updated.

  • Who still uses cups to measure food? - Seriously?!

Since both Australia and the UK went metric in the 1970's, it's pretty unbelievable that this app still uses cups to measure in the recipes.

Not only that, but they mix grams, cups, and teaspoons in the same recipe.

Some items in the recipes are not in any conversion chart I can find.

What do you do with something like avocado? Should you mash it and see how much you can stuff into a 250ml cup? The best you can do is search for a conversion to grams, and use your weighing scales - so why not just save us all time and give us the grams. Or at least the pounds and ounces. Something that you can really work with in all instances.

    Not cups.

  • App is great, but the photos are terrible

I love that this app is thought out so well, and is free. It’s nice to have such a detailed meal plan, and grocery lists. But I hate the photos they choose for the meals because they aren’t accurate. Today it’s showing a picture of 2 pieces of smoked salmon on some sour dough bread with cream cheese and parsley, but the recipe has no cheese whatsoever, or creamy anything, on 1 piece of gluten free bread, with mint and tomatoes. It does this all the time! The photo needs to represent what you’re eating!!! At the very least so I can glance at it and know what to get out of the fridge before I start cooking. It’s annoying...
