Very, very bad - waste of money, don’t buy!
No tactics whatsoever, just sail and shoot, can shoot through islands and can never lure enemy onto islands (despite you being able to wreck your boat on them).
Very little help finding out what missions entail and how to go about them.
Pretty but rubbish - I’d get my money back if I could!

I think the problems are:
1. We can fire/be fired at through rocks (so you can’t use any tactics)
2. There is no wind allowance in the game - so you can’t flee by using the wind, and turning is always the same for you and the enemy, meaning no advantage wherever the wind is blowing
These are key at the start when the enemy is extremely strong
3. Then there is the lack of information about how to trade, what the different factions mean and the effect on you.
4. Then there are the quests that give you no feedback on how you are doing or what you are achieving...you just go on, getting each new target without a view on what you are achieving/what you will get at the end.
5. Then there is no real explanation of how to improve your ship, what ships are out there to avoid and which you should attack.
I think the issues is that this is a vast game on pc and Mac...and you’ve attempted to make it into an iPAD game - I’ve only seen this done well once - Xcom

Thank you kindly for all these notes, fair enough. Firing through roks is a part of our game (it is the same on the PC version), and you can consider it as a feature of the Tempest World :) Wind allowance is a very good idea. We'll think if we can implement it in our game, as well as additional information about all the stuff you've mentioned (by the way, you can learn a lot at the steam forum page of our game).Great game, some technical issues
This is a great game and well worth the money - so do buy it. Having said that this only receives 4 stars because there are glitches, especially on the later missions which unfortunately makes the game crash and you are unable to complete the missions. Slightly frustrating as it takes quite a lot of work to get there.

Whilst there's very little to compare this too, it's a good game overall. Messy and sometimes hard to get some things as not well explained or even at all. Gets grindy and so ultimately pretty dull, I've bought a bigger ship and it somehow seems worse, it's pretty difficult to get cash and some missions are pointless until later. Boarding... I just stopped, it was a bit messy. So slow in some bits, yes ship game....but if I have to endure the slow speeds after battle has ended to pick up ten quid.....well that's pretty poor

Thanks a lot for honest comment! We plan to make it easier to farm, and first step will be made with next update that will be available next week. After some changes to boarding and more it should become slightly easier :)So cool !

I haven't been playing for long but I absolutely love this game. Easily the best game of its kind in the App Store, and no annoying in app purchases to stop me from progressing through the game. It's visually impressive and I love the cinematic during the battles. Seems to be plenty to do to keep me occupied for a while, definitely worth every gold coin! 😀Show lessChrisR36
Fun, but quite a few bugs!
Its fun in the first 1-2 hrs but then the bugs start nagging the game. You travel on map and then when going to a city you arrive just in time to die without warning. I also tried buying a spyglass for 400 coins but it kept telling me I didnt have enough coins... huh? I had more then enough, had enough for 3 of them! And more other bugs... they should really test their production BEFORE releasing it to grab our 11$, snif snif.
You should probably also consider Sid's Pirates as it is just as much fun, in my humble opinion!
Update May 12; this game sucks. I am playing on easiest difficulty and they keep coming 4-5 ships at me again and again, and sink me 9/10 times. Thats it! I give up on this waste of money! Keep the change!!!Show lessVcar77

Vcar, could you please give us some more info about those bugs at support@herocraft.com? And if you're still not able to buy the spyglass, please take a screenshot from the shop with that message. We're sorry to see that you confronted some problems with the game, but we're certainly going to fix it all!
