  • Auto shut-off feature/timer would be a nice addition

    I appreciate this app for my child, allowing her to eye and ear read, but like many have voiced in other reviews, there are some areas where this app could be improved. There are glitches where it will repeat a word multiple times before moving onto the remaining portion of a sentence. It doesn’t seem to have a bookmark to mark a stopping point (if it does, it doesn’t work accurately).

    I would love to see the developers implement a timer or auto-shut off feature so that a child could fall asleep listening to their audio book without having to worry about the book reading into the early morning hours.

We do have a bookmark and note feature as well as a timer in place for when there is no activity with the book. Please verify that you have the latest version of the app installed.   • App not saving book progress

    I’ve recently started reading a LOT of books, but sometimes it just doesn’t save my book progress. I’m reading a long book and after I get pretty far, stop, and go back to it, it ends up putting me back to where ever it decided to save and it doesn't even keep the bookmarks. This issue happens randomly and it has only happened once before.

  • Audio regularly returns to normal speed

    When listening to books at faster speeds the audio returns to normal speed when the screen turns on the iPhone and at the start of new book chapters. This problem also exists on the desktop app. Unfortunately this makes the service unusable for anyone dependent on this feature. Hopefully they will fix this issue soon. Other users have reported the problem so it appears to be a universal issue. I have tried setting the speed at both the book level and the account level settings but the problem persists.

    We appreciate your patience as we look into this issue. As a short term solution, some of our members have had success with pausing and unpausing the book when the playback speed changes. After unpausing, the playback speed reverts to the desired speed.
  • It costed money that’s why I don’t like it

    The only reason I don’t like this app is because it cost a bit of money but not much it makes you pay every year otherwise great app it’s very fun if you have children they can listen to fun books without you having to read them my kids especially love it tell us until Harry Potter or something else like thatIt has all the history books on it so if you need a break from reading history for your child this app has it

  • Wonderful!!!!!📚

    My son has been using this app for 1 year. It has been wonderful for him. I love that it highlights the sentence that is being read aloud. This app has a good selection of books that he gets excited about. Now when I give him a choice for what he wants to do that is educational, he always chooses Learning Ally time 👏

    I love being up and everything about it but it doesn’t have any books on mythologyWhether it be Carthaginian Roman Greek Chinese Japanese African Native American oh nice I’ve only found a book on the Trojan war and that’s it so people at learning Ally if you’re reading this please find some books on mythology

    Thankyou you have improved the app amazingly.

    Anothe suggestion would be a way of knowing how many pages are we on to finish the chapter. I am on page 22 but I cant see in the quick tool bar what page is chapter two.
  • Readers Need to be the same if it’s a series

    I really like this app it’s super help full but I can only give it 3 stars. my problem is that I am reading a book that has multiple books and the reader keeps changing and its really really really annoying because u get used to one voice and then it changes 🙄
  • Playback speed keeps on resetting to default

    There is a rather frustrating bug when playing audiobooks. The playback speed keeps on resetting to the default speed. I have it maxed out and indeed, I would preferred to even go faster, but even at the max rate, it still resets to default after every other page or chapter.
    Also, a two finger double tap to play slash pause would be nice. Sometimes, it’s hard to locate the buttons to pause with voice over when the narrator is talking.

    Thank you for your feature suggestions! For playback speed, you have the option of changing the speed within the global settings as well as for each individual book. To change the speed within the global settings, please navigate to "Settings" within the app and you can adjust the "Default playback rate" (please remember to Save your changes!).   • Disappointed

    Visual impaired, I need password reset. I can’t see well enough to check what was entered, there is NO option if this occurred, you have a school district and that’s it. Unfortunately, asked a better visioned person to help, there is no recourse to change password. I emailed this problem no response. I’m supposed to pay $120 for this service that has no support.😦 very good when it worked. Frustrating
