  • Recent update

Such a useful update! Can now listen as i use other apps and it continues to play when your phone sleeps. But theres a big problem with the playback speed. If you set the speed it will only stay that speed for 1 page or so before going back to slow.
  • I like it so much😀

I like it because I really like books 📚 and it helps others if they can’t read and you read all day it,s like a dream come true and if there were 100 stars I could give you I would and my name is bob last name heckling and I live in a blue home 🏡 and in New Jersey
  • Can’t login to the app

I never left a comment to anything but this app is suppose to help people with any reading disabilities, I have dyslexia and this is has been giving me a hard time to try and login to the app. I can easily login to the website but not the app. I have downloaded the app on both my laptop and my phone but nether one works. My main point to create an account and being able to listen to text books would be really beneficial for me with the college text books being too difficult to read on my own and to keep up with the class. But at this point I feel like I wasted a hole bunch of time trying to figure out where the login went wrong.
I hope that no else is dealing with this.

  • Fix bugs

I love this app I have been using it for almost 13 years and all of a sudden ever sense the app was updated, every time you read and you’re phone powers off the book pauses and then I have to open up my phone and re log into the app. This is so annoying to the point where I have to sit and keep tapping my phone every time it dims and I just wanna listen to the book.

  • Wishing it had the books i wanted to read

i love this app so much! it has helped me so much but there is a certain book i want to listen to but it’s not on there. the book is called “they both die at the end” it would be amazing if there was a spot that you could list the names of the books that aren’t on there, so that the creator can add them.

  • This app needs some work

I really love learning ally. I would not have graduated from college without them. This app is not very good. It keeps stoping when I am listening to a book. I have given up using this app and I just download books to my victor stream. Even though learning ally was recently updated it still stop every 4 or 5 pages!

  • Horrible on battery- always try audible first

If your screen goes blank, so does the audio. If you go to a different screen, the audio fades out. The only way to keep audio going is to touch your screen every 10-20 seconds. Horribly inconvenient for someone like myself who processes with sound and movement. I cannot deal with this app. High anxiety trigger

  • Please fix playback limitations

I agree with the countless others who have asked for a fix for playback limitations. Books stop playing unless I keep my phone set to never sleep with the Learning Ally screen active. This drains battery and I cannot use my phone for anything while I’m trying to read.

Thank you for making my textbooks available and I really am grateful for this resource. It is just quite difficult to use if one wants to listen smoothly.

  • Fade out audio problems

The app has developed a bug that causes the recording to pause every 20 seconds or so. It happens on multiple titles in my library. Activating the lock screen function on my device does not resolve this neither does setting lock screen to never. This is constant break in the reading does not allow for proper synthesis of the book’s content.

Further issue include: music from iTunes library playing when play is pressed on lock screen to resume playback of audiobook.

  • Let's see if I can write this in the 20 seconds before my book pauses.

I've used Learning Ally for a long time, since the old app was still around. I've seen it come a long way since then. But there's a few major things you guys still need to fix. It's hard to read a book when every time your screen locks or you leave the app the book stops. There's a setting for that now, but when you switch the switch nothing really changes. The table of contents for books is unnavigable by VoiceOver. When you turn your phone, the book sometimes moves to a random place. When you change the font and background colors it doesn't do That's new on the new app. Also, for works of fiction, it would be easier I think to ask your narrators not to do voices. Most of them are very bad at it. For language textbooks, don't let people read it unless they speak the language.
