Ok app but issues with music and saving
The app itself is easy to use and serves the purpose of no fuss video editing that can be quite time consuming. Lately I have noticed that adding music to the video and managing each clip volume has become a pain, not because of the difficulty but because it does not save properly or just starts the music whenever regardless of the adjustment. Also, many times it does not save where I cut the video so I have to. Do it several times. At the end I’m spending as much time trying to figure out the bugs and issues of the app that editing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless they fix those issues. I ’m cancelling the subscription soon.Show lessbicvicgreen
My Favorite App of All Time, My Memory Maker
I started using Spark 4 years ago. It was exactly what I wanted and imagined - a simple video app that can help me document my travels. The simplicity of the interface makes a world of difference! You simply film along, a few seconds at a time, your trip, and in the end easily turn it into a music video that you can look back on. However, at the time the app was far from perfect. It didn’t have transitions so the video always cut off in an abrupt way. But what I love the most about this app is that the people behind it keep improving it over the years! I wrote to them and right away they wrote me back this nice email telling me about new functions they added to help me achieve a smoother fade-in and fade-out. I also told them my problems with sound transition. And literally the next update came with just the functions I needed. I can’t say it was my suggestion that prompted this, but I do know that they genuinely listen to their users’ feedback and are making the app better all the time! For that reason alone, Spark is so worth supporting because its makers genuinely care about how us users feel and they incorporate our feedback. Keep up the good work Team Spark! I now have over 80 videos of travel memories to look back on, I look forward to making many many many more ❤️Show lessElanorMc
Lost all permissions
I bought this app about a year or so ago when I saw it in the editors choice in the App Store and paid the full price for it. Now I’ve downloaded it after upgrading to the iPhone XR without restoring my apps it to find that there’s a subscription fee! I loved using the app for my instagram stories and now I’ve lost all the permissions I had from when I paid for the app before!Show lessBrandoWolfie
So Simple. So Powerful!
We’ve all been there, recorded snippets on our phones only to do nothing with the clips because it’s too much hassle and time to edit something after the hype of the event is gone.
Spark Camera in its genius bundles the clip capture and editing in one seamless and intuitive ‘as you go’ experience.
Sure you can go in and trim and rearrange each individual clip in its simple UI based around a circle, but with a bit of practice you’ll shoot the clips you need, add a track and a filter and Timmy’s birthday will be in Grandmas size 80 font iPhone 4 in no time.
I’ve used this equally for capturing user research and stories, for field visits and for sharing insights back with the team. As a storytelling tool this is just gold.

Nice app but severely overpriced!
I tried out this app for a couple months and it definitely has a few positives. I love the one-touch video recording and how easy it is to trim and reorder your clips, as well as the filters. This would be a great $5 app just for those reasons alone. On the downside, I would definitely like to see a lot more options such as adding text, stickers, better transitions, and more variety of music. However, the biggest issue is PRICE!! $99 US DOLLARS (or $3 a month). That is a mind blowing number for the limitations this app has. A monthly subscription for a video recording app is just weird to me. There are a lot better, maybe not easier, options out there. I have since purchased and learned the 2 pro IOS apps, Filmic Pro and LumaFusion. Paid $35 for both and they are literally light years ahead (but definitely a much bigger learning curve).Show lessdizzledodge

Hands down best UI for video capture & editing on the fly
Spark is the only way to go for capturing adventures / travel vlogs / and jotting down video notes (think songwriting!). By far the best User interface I’ve seen - the controls are so easy to use, and makes it so easy to trim and rearrange on the fly (so editing doesn’t feel so cumbersome!)

The Only Video App I Use
I have used this app for 5 years now, trying others as they came along. The rest got deleted, even the paid ones, but this one remains. It was not right away that I became comfortable with its minimalistic interface, but when I got used to it, it made sense and I actually like it now, because it is not loaded with options I never use.
The concept is this: you create a “spark”, which is just a smart way of grouping related video clips together and working with them, editing, rearranging, adding transitions, music, etc, until you are ready to produce a video with merged clips. You can have as many “sparks” as you want, and go between them any time you want.
A pretty looking app and a smart way of keeping all of your themed clips in one place.
The customer service is superb too, responsive and polite. Dominique rules!

I did experience some problems with the volume control yesterday where the background music was drowning out my voiceover recording. But it seems that it’s been FIXED TODAY, and all is working smoothly with the new update.
I lost my UNLIMITED subscription for a few hours, but customer service was quick and thorough to make sure it was RESTORED. Hands down THE BEST and FASTEST and MOST EFFICIENT customer service I’ve ever experienced from an app developer!
