  • PSS Miran? No bundle this time? Add forever?

I notice that in one your screenshots for the preview of the game showing a picture of the USS Reliant, or what looks to be. I’ve looked through the ship catalog and didn’t see any Reliant - looking vessels. Please, I ask one thing, add the Reliant - looking vessel back in the game without a bundle, it would make lots of the Trekkies that play this game pretty happy to have this ship back, without the need for spending real money. Please also if you do add it back maybe you would add some more star trek stuff in the future. It’s already really good, but star trek ships would make it even better. Other than that, this game is really good and I would recommend it to my friends that like this kind of stuff.

  • Fun at first, but quickly reveals true purpose with eye-watering p2w options

The game concept is quite decent and familiar: customise your spaceship before entering a pvp battle against a random opponent in a tournament structure. The battles are purely visual-only so the matchmaking can choose from offline opponents. But despite the presumably large total playerbase and players with the same rank the matchmaking often seems to pick from a very limited range. No kidding, I just played against the same opponent for three consecutive battles. Unlike most pvp games like this where you choose the opponent you want to fight, Space Arena pre-selects your opponent; you then have the option to pay* to re-roll. Lose a battle and you have the option of paying to skip the repair time. Repair times get longer the higher level your ship is, consequently the price becomes higher. Customisation is rather limited: your options are limited to your level and credits, and you'll generally choose the most advanced tech. This makes progression one-dimensional. You can also use premium currency to add some extra space to your ship design for that extra edge. Again, the price escalates the higher level your ship is. So it's very much a pay-to-win game unfortunately where the initial costs are very low and quickly become very high. Parents beware.

Hello! We will update this game very soon and this problem should be fixed.
  • I love the game

I love this game when I could actually play it, I had an iPhone 6S and I upgraded to a iPhone X and now it won’t load at all, so I try to load the game and it just stays on the title screen and that’s as far as I can get with it

Could you please specify this problem a little bit more?
  • Love the game but...

Ok, I do love this game. It is one of very few that has kept my attention beyond a couple of months - and it is a lot of fun!
    But...
I suspect not all ‘players’ are equal. I think some of the players are either bots or devs designed with far more power than you can get normally at that level. There are some ships I fight who are smaller and less armoured yet all of a sudden they chew through my armor like it’s tissue paper. Where do they get these awesome weapons? I certainly can’t replicate the damage they can do no matter what I equip. And yes I’ve played this game enough to have figured out most of the tactics when building a ship.
This isn’t sour grapes, this is just me wondering exactly what these ships have that is not available to the rest of us ...?
But hey, it’s still a lot of fun. 😀

Thank you for the feedback! That's the issue of the matchmaking system. We are trying to fix it in every update, so the game will be playable for all the players.
  • Don’t Bother

Hi. This game has some great ideas and can be a lot of fun. But it has a number of frankly game-breaking issues that haven’t been fixed since they were introduced in the original release. First off, matchmaking is broken. More often than not I get stuck facing opponents with different tiers of ships, i.e. fighters vs frigates. It is also impossible to keep up with both research and the best ships you’ve unlocked due to limited funding. On top of this, there is an issue when matches run long where a winner is randomly selected, meaning that my 100% health ship lost to a 10% health ship. Add to this the fact that it is possible for opponents to turn around when you’re crushing them and kill you in two seconds. This is not skilled playing, as you do not in fact control your ship. This is broken AI. What with all of this, I’m afraid that this game is goin to give you far more rage than fun. Don’t bother with it.

  • Felt like something changed....

At first - game was enjoyable. U design ships and try to create an advantage by using weapons and armor against potential weaknesses on the opponent. U do not control the ship - all pre-determined simulators u watch. I found with decent design u won 50% of evenly matched battles - 90% where u had the advantage. What u would expect.

But in the last few weeks - feels like they changed the simulator algorithm. Now - I win about 10% of even matches and maybe 40% where I should have clear advantage. Feels rigged now - like I am being cheated.

Lastly - feel like there is a bug out there somewhere - I like to call it the drunken pilot bug. About every 10-15 matches - my ship... well it flies like the driver is drunk . For the most part the program follows a logic - point the nose of the ship at the enemy... right... but occasional, my pilot turns for unexplained reasons to show its sweet spot to the enemy... and well... I’m dead and I quit playing for a while out of disbelief my ship would just turn sideways all a sudden. I almost just wish they would call it that - ‘ur pilot has been drinking - sorry - bad luck chap’

Game is worth playing if u like design and sim - but just be ready to shake u head in wonder at bad flight algorithms and seemingly random losses to lesser foes.

  • Review of new player

I started playing a few weeks ago and i was instantly hooked im now lv 30 at 450 pts. Here is a list of changes that I THINK would improve the game.

Sentry lazers mk II give energy?

Please put a visual for arena battles, even if its just stationary ships shooting at each other

Make the daily quests more interesting and rotate between days (look at hearthstone)

At the end of a game please allow players to spend gems to see the enemies ship
(this could also tie into selling your ship design)

Selling your ship design is just a pain, i screenshot my designs and just rebuild them after getting the free gems.

Please add more parts (look at cosmoteer)

Also for a future tier of ship could be space station (no engines/ turning but much larger than any other ship)

Thank you to anyone reading to the end of this comment! This is a great game!

  • Great game and mechanics!

No annoying ads. Great player base. Supporting developers.
This game is one of the best free mobile game out there with the unique ship building mechanics and has stable progress not locked behind any paywalls. 10/10

  • Been playing for a few months now...

My initial review was negative but having play for 4 months now, and hit level 44 I have developed a fondness for this game. The ship layouts at times can be frustrating however when you get the right build it’s like taking a blowtorch to candy.

My kids enjoy watch it and have accounts. We spend time talking about builds.

The game play is simple enough. Build a ship and watch a dopey AI fire everything its got. Strangely enough that can be rewarding.

The ads are at the users discretion after a small micro transaction. I spent around the cost of a pizza on it at the start and that was enough to keep me entertained. Some of the offers I’ve seen aren’t in a dedicated players interest and at one point all you’re fighting are Destroyer Vega.

All in all if you spend wisely this is a great little game for killing a few mins.

  • Still needs work but a decent game

So this started out as a good game. I noticed some small sync glitches at first, but now that I’ve paid for a few things it’s getting worse. I bought a unique ship (the Federation Pirate Ship) for $15 and when I bought another ship (Morningstar) even though I had it replacing a different ship, it deleted my unique ship! And there is no chance to repurchase it. Needless to say I will be filing for a refund and really encourage people not to waste their time and especially their money on this game!

Edit* - it took some time but they were able to go back and give me back the ship I lost. The fact that the customer service actually cares enough to email you and help is great! The only reason this doesn’t get more stars is bc as I played through, I noticed that the Fleet Arena matchup system still needs some work. There are times where it matches me against fleets with fighter and corvette level ships (all mine are battleship level) which means even after I wipe out their fleet I get very little experience. Then I have to wait an hour before I can fight again. I would suggest either fixing the matchup system to only fight fleets of your level or shortening the wait time (like if you wipe out a fleet, you only have to wait 10 minutes). But the developers are good at listening to their customers so I encourage anyone to make suggestions.
