This is my favorite game in the whole wide world!! One of my favorite touches to this game is that the top character u can get is a rat a mystical one too! That’s not the only one thou other things about this five star game is amazing!! It’s really like the only good conquest game in the world with lots of excitement and rage ;)!! One more thing this is not a pay to win, even thou the top rat is like 50 or 100 bucks he can still get beet by the first level character Rudo which is pretty cool if u think about it. This game is a more skill based game. Now we gotta talk about the power ups or perks that u can use!! Most of them are pretty okay nothing too crazy but the character that I personally hate is the Phaom which has really Op perks! I think the creators should nerf him a bit if that’s possible. The one thing that I HATE is one of his perks which scares ur units off from a designated area and then he just attacks with his entire army. Obviously there are counters to this but I haven’t figured them out yet. I’m still on iron league I think, but it’s still such a fun and interesting game which never upsets me.

Fun game, would be awesome if you could chat with other players and in game chat for 2 vs 2.
Slow start, but now a great game!
My opinion on this game went up and down overtime. Back in 2016, the game was very laggy and the powers were very unbalanced, but the game is much more stable now and new gimmicks have stopped powers from being spammed too much. I thank the developers for listening to the feedback!
I only have one minor gripes with the game; the campaign is a pain to play through, because the computers are given a ridiculous advantage making matches last way too long and there is too much trial-and-error, even on Easy. Granted, I have only played through half of the first chapter, so I'm not sure what the rest of the chapters are like.
Besides that, fun and addictive multiplayer, and I would definitely recommend this game!

Bad online connections
The game itself is great. BUT the online multiplayer is terrible for many players. My game is very slow with internet connection (not the internet problem, it’s the game) to the point it freezes for like 5 seconds every 3 seconds while in a game.
Any solutions? Only one so far that I’ve found which is to close the app after one online game and than re-open it and repeat again.
This has been happening to me about a year ago and I stopped playing it because of that. Re-downloaded it recently and the bug has still not be fix. If the developers don’t have a solution to fix it they should tell us so we don’t have to stress waiting for a fix when there isn’t going to be one.

I really enjoyed this game in the past but it has become pay to play. To have an edge you need to upgrade your base troops, to do this you need runes. To get runes you have to level up, to level up you need to upgrade the heroes, to upgrade the heroes you have to earn lots of gold and cards. It takes a long time to save to really upgrade your heroes. The average chest, that takes 3 hours to open, only gives 400 gold. The first time you upgrade a hero ability it’s 3,000 gold which only earns 90 XX to level up. This is crazy. Now the as you continue to upgrade your hero abilities it becomes more and more expensive. The only way to really advance in this game is to watch a crazy amount of adds as well as spend money on gems.
A solution would be to add ways to level up that do not involve spending gold or gems. Maybe actually playing the stinking game should level you up. I am very disappointed to see this game turn to pay to play.
EDIT for latest update: nothing buy pay to play now. You have to upgrade through XP only gained by spending gold and gems. If you don’t upgrade you’re at a serious disadvantage to those that do. With this update you cant even choose the order to get your upgrades to support your play style. You are seriously turning a great game into trash. You need to choose, pay to play or adds not both. I’m about to delete it, no more add views from me.

Fantastic game - just don’t expect to progress
I’ve been playing mushroom wars for while (originally back on PS3) and it’s honestly one of the best games I’ve ever played. MW2 was the refresh the game needed and was so pleased when I first played it. Sadly, with each update that comes out it’s becoming harder and harder to progress in the game without spending money or watching ad after ad. It was fair to begin with, then they raised the costs of upgrades (took much longer to get anywhere, but not unreasonable). I then wasn’t a fan of the rune system because it made it impossible to compete with higher level players (even if you were better at the game) but I played along with it for a while and eventually got to a reasonable level. This last update has ruined all that progress and put me back to the start - it's so demoralising after working with it and makes me feel as though they’re honestly trying to squeeze every penny they can. I understand the game devs have to make money, I’ve paid £10 for the campaigns and I’m happy watching the occasional ad, but it’s gone too far and I’m considering deleting the app now. Such a shame. I hope they take some steps back introduce a development system that fairly rewards players for progress.
