  • Great Customer Service if needed

Changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars due to customer service getting back to me and taking care of the issue. I was a little impatient and didn’t realize they are not open over the weekend. They got back to me first thing Monday morning. Great app to keep track of all your fishing trends, especially if you compete in tournaments and want to be able to remember important info or see the trends in your area.

  • Good personal app

I really like this app basically for myself, I never use to log my stuff, it was always just for fun. Now that I’ve gotten more into it as a main hobby and with everything you take a bit more serious you want to improve, and this app helps me do that on an easy to manage scale.
  • Unstable! Cool Idea, Poor Execution

The idea of the app is really neat, and I’d really like it to work. However, I have been unable to ever use the app successfully for a complete fishing trip. The app crashes and force closes ALL THE TIME. Some of the other bugs I’ve experienced- half way through a fishing trip it will no longer allow you to enter catches, the button is greyed-out (disabled) so you can’t click it. The only thing you can do is stop the trip. Or what just happened to me last night, the GPS stopped recording after my first catch. So I can’t see on the app where I fished after that first catch, the map makes it looks like I basically sat in the same spot as my first catch for the entire trip. Pretty glad I didn’t pay for premium…

Hey there, It seems as though there are some issues with the app or settings that are set up surrounding GPS tracking. Please reach out to us at support@anglr.com so we can address them, and make the app better for you!
  • No contour maps for inland lakes on Pro version?

Just upgraded to the Pro version after about 2 years of the standard level subscription (which I love). However, I upgraded because per the website, I was under the impression that inland lakes (US) would have a contour map layer. It doesn’t not, at least that I can find. So basically, I just upgraded to Pro for no reason….

  • Enjoyable

While fishing is already fun as it is. Anglr has found a way to make it that much better. Allowing you to document, track and explore the options of fishing local pond with gps and pinpoints. The monthly challenges that come along with anglr push you to get out and fish more as long as you have a competitive nature! Definitely beneficial for Freshwater and Inshore Saltwater Fishing

  • App is good, but often crashes

I use this for it’s intended purposes. I log all of my gear; rods, reels, hooks, lures, soft plastics, etc. and I log all of my catches. The app is great for keeping track of catches and all the conditions of each catch. The downside is that this app crashes so often. Like open the app, crash. Open the app, add gear, crash. Open the app, try to start a session, crash. Open the app, session is going for a good 30 minutes, check the phone, crash. It seems like if you look at this app wrong it crashes. If this was fixed it would easily be 5 stars.

Edit: After using this app for a while now, the crashing seems to have gone away almost entirely. It is a fantastic app for logging gear and catches, and using a bullseye makes all that much easier too.

That being said, there are some things this app could improve on. I wish there was a way to select more than one gear during gear selection. For example; sometimes I use a spinner bait with a paddle tail soft plastic trailer. It would be awesome to keep track of both the lure and trailer. Also I often fish with more than one rod. Simply being able to select all the rod combos I’m currently using on a given trip, rather than listing each rod switch as a gear change, would be nice. Lastly, being able to log terminal tackle like hooks, weights, and swivels would be awesome too. 4 out of 5 stars!

  • Love it

I absolutely love this app, I can scan through my trips and see where I caught the fish, what I used on that day, and the weather conditions of the day I caught the fish. Absolutely awesome! The one thing I would like to ask, if the creators ever see this. I would really like a function to where I could add notes to the fish trip. I know you can add them when you go to the individual catches but I would really like a place to write a note about the trip whenever looking through my log book. It would really be a nice touch to add to the app. Either way with or without that feature I still absolutely love the app!

Hey there, Thank you so much for the review! We appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. Regarding the notes section, we have received this request a few times now and are working on building this option in for future releases! Thanks again and tight lines!
  • This is going to be a great app!!

It is already good and keeps getting better as they continue to add new features. The challenge option is a lot of fun. If and when they ever develop a feature to view and comment on other users posts i net you see a lot of people dropping the other social media apps and use this as their primary.
  • Good way to log catches

I really like how I can log my catches by species and location. Fairly easy to mark them in, but it can be a little cumbersome if you want to enter a lot of information. I would like to see a way to have a limited list(s) of fish to log. Right now every possible species is there. It would be much easier to have a way to use a limited number of fish for a trip. Also a way to use a certain lure (toggle on or off) as a default for your next fish. I use the same fly for a while if I’m catching. Why should I have to search for it each fish? Also it would be great to have a way to export the catch log to a spreadsheet

Hey there! Thank you so much for the review! We appreciate your feedback. Regarding the use of the same fly for each catch, if you start the trip and enter the gear you'll be using in the "Start Trip" screen, that gear will be associated with each catch. During the trip, if you want to change your fly, simply drop a gear-change waypoint, update the gear and then the new gear will be applied to each catch henceforth! We hope this helps!
  • I like it a lot!

I like this app and it’s ability to back track... but my current pet peeve is that sometimes the backtrack has the location off, and when I try to change location... it ask for lat and longitude. I recommend being able to pick a spot on the map/satellite rather than having to research the lat/long separately.
