  • Great tool

I got this app early and was hesitant about it at first. But the updates have been consistent and constantly for the better. I pair a bullseye button with my app and it worked great for a short period of time. I think my button was faulty as it always seemed to disconnect or act up. Anglr replaced the button for free of charge. Only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is because of some of the requirements to run the app. On remote river floats I have noticed you will stop recording if the cellular service drops

  • This app is amazing!

Love the Anglr app. I think they don’t emphasize enough how much this app is useful even for beginning anglers. I’m really using it to help myself learn what’s working, where it’s working, and when it’s working to catch them bass! Getting ready to purchase the virtual rod to pair with it.
  • Phenomenal App

This app runs great and is very smooth. Are you wanting to keep track of everything you do on the water? This is the app for you. They host challenges that people can participate in for real life prizes. The ANGLR app allows you to add friends as well. The live recording while fishing is a great feature to the app. It tells you where your placement is on the lake as well as your friends if you want. If you like fishing this is a great choice for you.

  • Far From Perfect but Still the Best

When paired with the Anglr Bullseye, this is the best app for logging fish. I use it every time I fish and, for the most part, it lets me log catches without getting in my way. That being said, it’s far from perfect.

Data analysis is truly dismal compared to other logging apps. It crashes at least once per trip. The Bullseye doesn’t always connect. You can’t really enter past trips or catches because it won’t save changes you make to the date. The BackTrack function is awful at identifying pictures with fish in it. It’s awkward to use if your using two rods. And in some cases the virtual tackle box is limiting (it lets you enter the bait you're using, but you have to make a separate entry each time you put that bait on a different rig).

It’s good for showing where you catch fish. But it won’t show you where you don’t; and seeing where your wasting your time is crucial information. If you don’t mind finding trends yourself, then this is a fine app. I use the data points to make concentration maps for ponds and river banks. But it would be really nice if it did something with all the data it collects, rather than just mindlessly present it to you.

It’s great as a trophy case, but falls short if your trying to step up your game. That being said, what it lacks in functionality, it makes up for in potential.

    Developer Response

Hey there, we appreciate your candid feedback here, it's what helps our team grow. We entirely agree with all sentiments listed, we have a lot of work to do to perfect the data analysis, we need to update some features as they are lackluster, and we plan to do so. Our goal is to constantly improve, so we appreciate people like yourself who see the potential and are willing to help us grow with their feedback. Thanks again and tight lines!
  • Additional options

I love the app. The gear section is a great tool. It would be nice to have the ability to add fractions when entering weights. Also being able to scan packaging UPC’s to track tackle would be helpful. Lastly, being able to enter certain types of gear setups (jigs with trailers, drop shot setups, wacky rig, etc.) Thanks for all the hard work.

  • Location of catches

It would be nice if changing a catch location was easier. Maybe being able to move a pin on a nap instead of having coordinates? There are times I have to add catches because I didn't have my bullseye connected and trying to find coordinates isn't easy. Some of my catches end up on weird places on the map or I lose them altogether.

  • So easy to use

Anglr makes it so easy to track the fish you catch and the gear you use. I’d recommend this to any level of angler. When a customer suggests new features, they respond back and get to work on it. You can’t say that for many other apps out there. They created an app that isn’t blocked by a bunch of paywalls and greed. They truly want people to enjoy fishing and make it easier to improve upon their tactics and tackle. Keep up the great work Anglr, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for your company and team.

  • The Fish App I’ve Been Looking For!

This is the fish app to end all other fish apps. While looking for an app to tracked all my data while fishing I tried all the other fishing apps and they’ve been a HUGE disappointment.

If you’re looking for an app that you can brag about your catches and give away your locations this isn’t for you. If you want to log your trips and get weather, catch and map areas when/where you fish and keep it to yourself then you’ll love this app.

    This app is:

    - Easy to use
    - Intuitive
    - Packed with genius features
    - Covers everything

I hope the ANGLR team continues to improve this. They literally thought of everything on this one.

I purchased the Bullseye device to complement the app. Not sure what happened to the tracker device that mounts to your rod but that would’ve probably been sweet if it was still available.

Stop wasting time with other silly apps. Get this one!!

  • Dead battery

I got my bullseye to link when I first got it at home in the mail, a few days later when I got to the water it was dead. I sent their customer service an email with a photo of the package and a receipt, the next day I got an email from them saying their customer service email address had changed they gave me the new address and it doesn’t work. The app works fine, think twice about $30 for the bullseye, it’s supposed to have a warranty they don’t seem to want to honor. Overall 3 star rating combined.

  • Awesome Fishing AND Hunting Tool!

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy Anglr and how I use it to scout duck holes. I live along the Tennessee River (Lake Guntersville). We have several Wildlife Management Areas that are popular among duck hunters; however, there are hundreds of WMA wetland acres inaccessible by duck boats. I’m an old school duck hunter, meaning I love to scout duck holes by foot if at all possible. I feel as if there is less of an impact on the ecosystem by doing so.

I feel it unnecessary to need a hand held GPS system with today’s technology as everything I need is available through my cell phone and the Anglr App/Bullseye system. The beauty of the Anglr system is its simplicity. I simply start Fish Mode and input waypoints as needed. My course (log book) is automatically saved and I can go back to review my logs at any time. I find the “Play” function for each trip log entertaining as I can review exactly where I walked during my scouting trip.

This system is money well spent! Thanks!
