After spending thousands on a system the app is rubbish my grandson could write a more fluid and usable app than what you have presented to me
Bring back original app
When we first signed up 5 years ago, the iPad app was visually user friendly and the data displays were impressive and informative. Unfortunately, the current app is pretty useless if you want to understand the usage amounts and levels. It almost appears to be too simplistic. Please, either return to the original, or update to a more enticing display.

Inconsistent menus on iPhone iPad
I struggled for a week to get my inverted connected to wifi (after changing password) The iPhone does not show “Network settings” and “Advanced settings” under settings although the same version of the app 2.2.8(6) works perfectly fine. Luckily my iPad came to the rescue. The customer care just provided me a manual which did not match the menus... so frustrating. Please fix ASAP

The app is poor
I have raised the need to constantly log on to the app to Redback and I am met with the sheer arrogance of their support team. It is THEIR view that the security of the app requires repeated logon. They refuse to add the ‘stay logged on’ option even though I am using a device that requires my biometric data to allow me to access iOS apps.
The joke is that THEIR security policy doesn’t extend to the web interface where any browser will save username and password for the web portal.
Since my solar system was upgraded to the current os software the iOS app will not update and needs to be restarted.
This is not a commercial grade app.

Total power produced
App works fine when connected and gives a good visual representation of how your power is being used
A good feature for the future would be the ability to sync your total power produced with your billing period and a summary or total power bought and sold to see if you will have a zero power bill, it’s a bit of a guessing game at the moment

It's ok
The app provides enough information to have a basic snapshot of what is happening. The major drawback (apart from the constant logging off) is the inability to see what the panels are producing. It only shows energy flow. So if I'm producing 4kwh but only using 0.5kwh and exporting 2 kWh (restricted due to power company etc), the panels show 2.5 kWh. So my production figures are lower than they should be, and I can't see if there is surplus to turn on an appliance such as a/c or washing machine etc. Without turning on appliances I'll never know if my panels are working as they should. Also, it'd be nice to see what I'm actually producing month by month etc but all I would see is a total of what I used /exported.

Disappointed
The software is not very good - I also have Solar analytics and I can view data on my home pc - this software constantly disconnects and makes it impossible to use- disappointing as the hardware is really good- time to see what good software can do. Sorry to have to write this but every time I want to use it the wireless has disconnected - this never happens with Solar Analytics.

Happy Customer
The Hybrid Inverter works with no noise both audibly and RF. The software is simple to install and simple to use. The portal gives everything you need to know in an almost real-time manner.
