  • Calories

    Done a lot of research on this before buying. Had a Fitbit that worked perfectly but wanted something that looked smarter when wearing with formal clothes. This seemed the perfect option for me as it had everything I wanted. I have had the new Q8+ now for about 2 weeks and started to find that some things weren’t adding up, for example my steps and calories seemed to be way out compared to my Fitbit so I decided to wear them both for a couple of days to see the results. I found the steps were about 1000 out so I managed to religiously at both configurations and have now resolved that, however the calorie counter on both were so far apart it was ridiculous. I do a vigorous hour workout every day which burns around 1000 calories, however my new Q8 was recording around 400 calories per day including my workout and general movement. This just isn’t right and I can’t figure out if there’s a way to amend this in the app. It’s very disappointing as it’s one of the key features for me in a sports watch. Other than that I’m very happy but also agree with a lot of the comments regarding improvements to be made. Worth mentioning that I have found absolutely no comments regarding calories in any other review which makes me wonder if it’s just mine.

  • App has many issues

    Latest I just got a new phone and this doesn’t work with it and does read it at all!

    Ok this has only gotten worse! Now the data is not downloading at all! I am getting tired of companies putting out items to buy and then stop addressing issues!

    Bought this about 1 year and hasn’t worked right in months! If this was a Fitbit I would be fuming!

    1. Constantly not connecting. When it does connect, lasts maybe a month then disconnects again.
    2. Sleep schedule is so off it’s not even close. I’m up at like 3 am every day yet at times it says I get up at
    6, 7 am or even 12pm! There are times it says I went to bed at 6am and only for 1 hour Sleep
    3. At Times it shows my BP dropped down to 40 or 50 and at other times over 120.

    Ap needs a lot of work to be done. Would love to give it more stars but considering I have only had it less than 1 year it should be working better in my opinion

  • Hit or miss

    I bought this band because it has great features and is inexpensive. I love that it vibrates and lets me know when I have an incoming text or call, I like how the face of it looks (the wrist band could certainly be better though) and I like how easy it is to cycle through stats. However, the activity band is pointless when the app is so hit or miss. Sometimes the sleep feature will say I slept 4 hours when I actually slept 6 or 7. I’ve tried numerous things; closing and reopening the app, re-syncing the band and app, turning the power to the band off etc. Sometimes it’ll work, sometimes not. Also, I have a BP cuff and sometimes the band and it are close on heart rate and BP, other times it’s not. I just wish it wasn’t so hit or miss, because I’m in love with the concept.

  • Isn’t Tracking HR, BP, or Sleep

    Thus far, my device isn’t working properly. The only portion that is working is the pedometer. I’ve tried everything: turning off/on, recalibration of data, clearing the data, switching wrists, changing wrist sensitivity, turning my phone on and then off again, deleting and the reinstalling the app, changing the position of the watch to further up my forearm and nothing is working. There’s no auto sleep data and it says error when I attempt a HR and it says “wear properly” when I attempt BP monitoring. I can’t figure what I’m doing wrong or if it’s the watch itself???

  • BP and HR monitoring

    I was a RN for over 35 years, so BP (blood pressure) and HR (heart rate) monitoring is very important to me. I bought this device for my husband, he recently had heart surgery, so it is important that he monitor his HR and BP. I like this device for the BP & HR monitoring capabilities. I do wish that this app would share data from this app to another. The monitor display is very quick to shut off, sometimes, I need a little more time to write the readings down. Otherwise, this device is very good. The BP and HR readings are as accurate as can be. I checked my husband’s readings against manual readings, they were only slightly off. Nurses are trained to take manual BP to check accuracy of automated systems. If the readings are within 20 millimeters of mercury, which is how blood pressure is read, is considered accurate. HR readings are also within acceptable rates.
    This tracker is not very accurate for sleep monitoring. I am not sure how it is supposed to track that, so I am not sure how to check any of the sleep readings. So I would not suggest using this reading. Everything else appears accurate.
    I liked this device so much, that I ended up buying one for myself and my mother. My sister is now going to buy one for herself.

  • Not impressed

    So far the only thing that is accurate is the time. The calories burned are nowhere near accurate. I did 30 minutes of hiit cardio on the exercise bike and according to the app and watch I only burned 6 calories. No way. The bpm is also inaccurate as I’ve done it manually and the readings were different. I would return it but I don’t know if it’s even worth it. I may just count my losses and say I lost 35 bucks on this thing. Also I wish the screen would stay on longer. You’re better off on spending a little more money for a better product

  • Needs more options

    This app really is limited and needs more options:
    - Blood pressure only has on and off; while on it checks every 10 minutes and uses up battery too fast when once every 1-6 hours would be enough.
    - Display only offers 4 possibilities and only analog/clock view lists the date which I really miss because I seem to need it 10x per day.
    - Sleep monitor needs to be fixed. I frequently read in bed for 1-2 hours. It shows me as having poor sleep when I am not asleep. Also, it doesn’t seem to track when I sleep outside the normal 10pm-6am timeframe.

    I have really been enjoying this and found out that if you hold down on the button it actually stays on longer....

    Good quality especially for the “water resistant” part I accidentally sat in my hot tub and forgot I had it on for about a minute or two! I was so worried I had broken it but when I found out it was fine I was really impressed...

    It can’t take calls and doesn’t alert you when you get a text like most super fancy watch wear. It does tell you when someone calls you though and the number shows up when it vibrates. I like how it does not beep when telling you something but only silently vibrates so that you can only feel it and no one notices. Overall I’d tell you it’s a great buy and mostly accurate...

  • Sleep data not recording

    I have been using the App since Christmas Day, so far no sleep data has recorded. Can the developer fix this please.
