Disappointed

I was really disappointed to see that for over $40/month there were only two workout options for the luteal phase which is 15 days long….
I personally subscribed for guidance for workouts so not worth it for me.

Great concept but product advertisement is distracting

I really love the concept behind this app and I would have loved to explore using it but there were a few key issues. One is that there is no free trial to allow you to explore the nutrition features etc. Also the ads to promote buying their supplements and paying for the app are extremely invasive and distracting. It felt like a big money grab app instead of an app genuinely trying to help women. I probably would have ended up paying for a subscription if I was given the chance to trial it and not bombarded with text and images trying to get me to buy supplements which I couldn’t order anyway because I’m outside the US.

Mostly useless

Unfortunately, although it does give pretty good insights into each phase, this app doesn’t work. And I paid for it, too! It logs me out every time, which I find extremely frustrating considering the only thing I use it for is tracking the days of my cycle. It would be a good app except for the fact that it literally doesn’t let me use it.

Expensive

I feel that information to help women understand their cycles better and hopefully suffer less, should be free. However, I understand that app creation and management is not inexpensive. I downloaded this app specifically for the cycle syncing information, but deleted upon discovering the $39/month price tag. That is 100% unreasonable for the average woman. Thankfully there are many other app options with far more affordable options.

Mediocre customer experience

I’ve used this app for about a month. The UX is confusing, and the app kept changing my inputs for my period days. I liked that it would predict my phases, but it overrode what I manually put in (3 times). Also, when I signed up, I went ahead and got what I thought was a 2mo subscription to give it time to see how I liked it, but turns out I bought 2 memberships… why would I want to buy 2 memberships when I can only use one? Why would you design it so you could buy multiple memberships and not multiple months?? When I reached out to customer service I was shamed about the fact that I was “the only person” who ever had this problem so I just have “misunderstood”. Excuse me? I only found this out because I wanted to cancel my membership (I don’t get $28/mo value). I thought I would have another month should I want to check anything again.

The customer service coupled with the app and not so great UX and data—there are better apps out there that cost less.

The app seems to be getting less adaptive to me

I’ve been using this app for a few years. The redesign looks beautiful but this past year, I have noticed my cycle predictions are grossly off and my phases in the calendar are shorter than they used to me. I know these are mere suggestions based on your data… but should my predictions not get better adjusted the longer I use the app? It doesn’t make sense that the app once had a week for my folecular phase and now just has a few days while my luteal phase (which is always longer than 2 weeks for me) is trended even longer by the shortening of my follicular and ovulatory phases.
I have searched the app for answers regarding the change and I can’t find them. There is also a glitch in my notes section of my daily data where it only lets me type forward, if I want to go back and edit a word or change anything I didn’t just type, it sends my text line to the end of the text box, which means I have to reselect the section I want to type in after every single letter. Quite annoying tbh and makes me want to use the app less, the reason I insist on using is as much as I do now is because I pay for it, but I may be looking for a new tracker app if these things don’t get sussed out in the next update.

Used to be good, not anymore

UPDATE :
Gave it another go after their famous revamp and STILL you need a university degree in period apps to find out how to update your cycle.
This app was everything when it was first launched. They’ve had issues with it for the last 2 years and around 2 makeovers. I kept giving it a try because I loved the book and I follow her advice. The app is not user friendly. I cannot work out how to update my cycle dates, it’s not very intuitive. Even so my decision to stop using this app is because I had my period at the start of July, then they released some update which completely erased my calendar. This is the 2nd time this happens. An app update shouldn’t mess around with my calendar!! So now my calendar says I am due a period when I just finished one. I have to have a backup app to make sure my dates are correct. It’s really unreliable and not intuitive enough to use. Also they keep advertising “link your partner in the app” to send your partner emails about your flow and how he can support you. This feature never worked. I registered him a few times since 2021 but all he ever got was marketing emails about PCOS supplements. Deleting, I am fed up of not being able to rely on the calendar in this app.

Data gone after updating

I have used the app for many years to track my monthly cycle and was happy with it until the recent update. As others have said, all personal data including years of tracked cycles has completely disappeared, this data can be invaluable for those TTC. I will be deleting the app and finding a more reliable one.

CASH GRAB

Honestly I’m so disappointed in this app and the subscription options. You are paying an insane amount of money for vague online advice that is not tailored to your specific needs when you could be paying that amount of money to go see a functional medicine practitioner! I honestly and so turned off at the cost of this app considering how much I respect Alyssa from her work and her books. This app is an obvious cash grab and nothing else because it’s completely useless unless you pay for expensive features. And all it does is try to convince you to purchase supplements every time you use the app. This is the problem with the wellness industry: prying on people’s vulnerability for a quick cash grab. If you want an app to track your fertility whether you are trying to conceive or avoid pregnancy use Natural Cycles as it is an actual fda approved app and resource and it costs money but isn’t harassing your to purchase supplements every time you open it like this app. Seriously so disappointed.

Sadly I have now deleted, restore the old version

Like many other reviewers I had lost my account and stats when the app was updated. Similarly, the new version is nothing but a constant way to flog the supplements that are sold, which don’t even ship outside the USA. The information that I found most helpful for each cycle was now gone, I found it really useful that the old version would say whether my cycle was longer, heavier, less severe etc. All of that is gone and now there is no comparison information, just never ending ads and suggestions for which supplements to use and upgrading to the more expensive membership. I deleted it after battling through for a couple of months as it’s now useless.
I recommend the Flo App which actually does update each time you log symptoms and has useful tips to help as well as preparing a downloadable graph for each cycle and your history.
This is money grabbing at its finest and it’s just sad.
