  • Newest update not good

I’ve been waiting for an update to this app for a long time since it’s always been pretty glitchy. But the update that got pushed through last month has unfortunately made the app worse. Everyone I log in I have to manually hit the “sync” button (instead of it automatically syncing like before), and it typically takes 3-5 minutes to sync. Which is waaaay too long. The previous version took about 30 seconds. It’s also crashing more now. I’ve used this app for many years and I give it a lot of grace since Cal Coast is a smaller credit union and I’m just happy to have this app. But it unfortunately has gotten worse.
  • Feb 2024 update lost a useful feature

The ‘transactions’ functions now only show the 6-month history of a selected repetitive transaction, it used to show 12. Only debits (spending) show that history, historical credits (income) does not show in the bar charts. I found that display very useful to track my investment income, please restore 12 months display and to show credits in those bar charts.
  • Can’t login

Used same username and password as the Cal Coast account and still can’t login
  • Useless

This seems to be the new CalCoast app. While you can see your budget and transactions, it does not allow for any mobile payments, check deposits or transactions. What am I supposed to do with this app? Just look at my money and not do anything with it? The FAQs on the app don’t load. Frustrating experience. I’ve been considering switching banks and this experience enforces that feeling, unfortunately…
  • Unusable

Downloaded to avoid linking my bank account to a third party budget app but this one is useless. The app closed itself twice in the first five minutes I played with it and each time I reopened the app wouldn’t load, forcing me to close and reopen again.

The budgeting feature is not helpful and barely editable. The app attempts to set auto budgets based on past spending but is horrible at recognizing transaction types. Manually changing transaction types is not user friendly either.

I added a ‘cash’ section to track a portion of my budget that I always use cash for but it’s unclear how I would tell the app what I’ve spent for this category. Also, the use of a spinning dial for monetary amounts vs just typing them in is silly.
  • External Transfers

I have a few external transfers between CalCoast and another institution I wish I could manage from this app. I have to go to another room upstairs and login to my dinosaur laptop to take care of some business with my CalCoast account. Otherwise I love the app.
  • Needs a Lot of Work

I used this app for a while along with Mint and other similar apps. Regrettably, it is worse then the others. I like to sort my purchases into different categories for budgeting purposes but after a couple months it would reset and I would have to start the sorting from scratch. I couldn’t even get a decent snapshot of my purchases over a three month period because of this. I finally gave up, deleted the app. and reverted to a spreadsheet for budgeting. Hopefully the app developers make improvements to this app or I won’t be using it again any time soon.
  • Add account

It would be nice if I could add my Robinhood account to this app.
  • Useless!

Barebones accounting. Not even worth the download. I may have to change banks because CCU doesn’t allow any other software to sync accounts and theirs is useless🙄
  • Great budget tracker

This money manager works great. It shows me I spend too much on food and beer.
