Helpful but limited with large data sets
Edit: developer was able to help me solve my issues, and it is now working fine for me. It would be helpful if the app could notify you of files that are too large to open on the device and suggest alternative ways to open them rather than just having the device crash.
Response from developer
Thank you for your review. Does the crash happen for specific files? Are the files on your device or iCloud?Could you please send those files to info@kappsmart.com so that we may investigate.

Disappointing
REVIEW:
Neither R nor any of its packages are installed on your phone by this App. Instead, your R code is sent over the internet to be executed. The annoying thing about this—besides always needing an internet connection—is that you can’t work with R interactively. Instead, every time you want to run a line of code you have to re-run the entire script from start to finish. In addition, features like autocompletion (e.g. for when you forget a function’s exact name), which would be extremely helpful for writing code on-the-fly on your iPhone, are unavailable because packages are not loaded directly on your iPhone. Plus, there are a lot of things that need to be improved, such as the auto-indent feature (and because there’s no button to indent, say, 4 spaces with one press, a working auto-indent is crucial).
Ideally, this would be like Pythonista but for R. However, it’s no where near that level of quality (despite being a mere $2 cheaper). Unless the developer changes their approach entirely (by turning this into a mini R IDE for the iPhone), this app is no different than the many websites that let you write and compile R code for free.
I really wanted to like this app but the more I used it the more I just got annoyed by its shortcomings, which is why I now regret paying for it.
