  • Good R app.

It is a wonderful R app. One complaint: the code file can not be deleted.

It does not work after the recent update.

    Complier:R: No input
  • Simply great!

Just downloaded the app and tried a couple of simple codes. I don’t know to which extent the capabilities go, but well done !! I am hoping the development of this app will continue and grow. Congrats to the developer.
  • Nice looking editor, but didn't work

(got a "check your internet" error)
  • Awesome statistics app

R is the most powerful statistical programming platform available. The lack of R on iOS has been disappointing for many years. I was very surprised when I searched again recently and found this app. I am very impressed and extremely happy that I can now crunch numbers and do powerful statistics on my iPad and iPhone. I would love to see continuing development of this app. It would be great if we could sync files with iCloud or Dropbox. I have upgraded to the paid version. If you add a donate option, I will continue to support. Thank you and keep up the great work.

  • Fatal error after latest update

I am unable to run codes after the latest update. I tried running the hello world example and it says "Fatal error: cannot create 'R_TempDir'"

Edit: thanks, app is working now

    Developer Response

Hello, the issue has been fixed. Apologies for the inconveniences caused.
  • Severely, severely crippled version of R

The file upload system is not very intuitive. I try and access iCloud Drive and it tells me I don’t have it turned on (surprise! I have a subscription, it is very much turned on).

If you happen to overcome this and import your data, you won’t be able to assign any variables, or manipulate your data as you wish. You can stare at your raw data on screen, though. So this is no more than a glorified CSV reader that requires multiple command line entries to be able to read it.

I wasn’t asking for a full version of R studio on iPad, but it’s amazing how many basic functions are simply unusable on this.

Hello, thank you for your feedback! For iCloud Drive, whether you are using the free service or a subscription, it needs to be turned on in the device Settings. Please contact us at the email address listed below for further assistance. For data manipulation, you should be able to achieve what you are saying. You may send us your problem and we will send you code examples on how to achieve what you want. Thank you! Contact email: info@kappsmart.com
  • Thank you for improving this app

I have increased my rating from one start to 5 stars because in less than a year the developer made significant improvements. The comment I made before (see below) is no longer valid: “I recommend you search for another app, as this one has significant bugs. It also has commercial advertisements that are inappropriate and linger on your screen for too long.” Thank you for fixing this app!

Kindly update to the latest version which contains significant improvements. The number of ads have been reduced as well.
  • No iCloud Files/Folders

I want to load datasets from my icloud drive but nothing in my drive seems to show up in the file browser built in to the Input screen for me to load. I don’t have much use for R without my data.

    Developer Response

Hello, you need to place your files in the R Compiler folder in iCloud Drive for them to be visible in the app. For further assistance, please email us on info@kappsmart.com
  • Not As Advertised

Doesn’t allow you to view plots without purchasing app. Instead took me to another site trying to get me to click on purchasing a game. Quickly uninstalled do to spam.
  • Plots don’t work
