This app is the worst
Yamaha, please put some work into making this app better… please. I love the idea and would like to streamline recording and file sharing through the app but it’s constantly getting screwy on me. One minute the backing track sounds fine but the next minute it’s clipping, slows down off time, gets distorted and becomes basically unusable. C’mon guys… I paid good money for this unit… I’d like to be able to use it but I have a hard time recommending it to anyone as is. Its just so unreliable.

The latest version is freezing on my iPhone 15 pro max. Also I can’t get all trax from iTunes or Spotify - I can get some off iTunes but none off you tube or Spotify. Come on guys !!

This app is terrible I can not believe they haven’t figured it out yet especially with how popular the product has become.
Why isn’t Yamaha supporting this better question
I’ve had this app to use with my Yamaha DTX10 kit. But I’ve only had success loading maybe one or two different songs. Anything else that I attempt to load just freezes the app. Then I need to close it and reopen it again to try one more time. It’s been extremely frustrating. And yes, I have 3.2.2 on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Such great promise for this app, but very frustrating.

EAD great, rec and share app horrid
I’ve been practicing and really trying to grow as a drummer/musician. Recording and the entire tech part of it not my bag but I agreed to get the EAD bc it seemed so effortless plus offered tons of great options sound/trigger wise w/ built in metronome too.
The rec and share app to try to record these sessions has been horrid though (approx 12 months of using).
With the latest iPhone update it won’t even work.
I have to find other midi/daw options to record bc now I am missing recording deadlines for collabs I committed to and there seems to be little if any interest in this app being supported/updated/bugs squashed.
Too bad bc I I’m sure many more musicians would love to try the EAD if they had a supportive recording app to pair with it.

Fix the Freezing Already
I like the app and what it allows you to do.
But getting tired of always having to close the app to refresh it to select/load another song.

Cuts of songs.
I love being able to record but for someone reason when I upload local songs from Dropbox, it cuts 10 seconds of the song of. It usually happens around 1:20 mark. I’ve tried to delete the file and upload again but it still happens.
Useless
Does not work. If your buying an EAD10 as a practice aid based on the promises of this app don’t bother. The app will not allow me to upload music from my music library as advertised. Tried Apple Music, Spotify , downloading song to files, nope nothing works. Tried contacting Yamaha support and get no response. I bought the EAD10 as a practice aid. Should have saved my money. Not what I’ve come to expect from Yamaha. Very disappointing.

It’s a great app
This app connects my phone to my EAD10. I am able to load songs into the app to jam along to or to or record video/audio with my favourite module scenes.
I have no issues just positive experience here, it’s a great way to practice or quickly create content without having to splurge on gear and saves loads of time not having to mic up your entire kit, record, film, mix, sync and edit etc.
