Sometimes when I use google chat it sometimes glitches and says that I don’t have any spaces or people and I have to restart my whole entire iPadUuuuuuuiuinb

I just switched over to Google Chat from Google Hangouts and let me say, it’s different. First, I am not able to switch out of dark mode which for me, is unnecessary and annoying. I am not a fan of my screen being dark, but I guess it is something that I will have to get used to.
Second, when talking with someone your text and their’s both appear on the same side of the chat which makes it more complicated to figure out what they said and when.
Third, sending videos and pictures take up a lot of time. The loading process is very time consuming and it causes a pause in your conversation and confusing as to why you aren’t responding.
The desktop version is great, but the mobile adaptation just isn’t cutting it for me. I intend on using this app heavily but with the way it’s going so far, it will take a lot of getting used to. Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the different functions that have been added, but it just isn’t the same.Show lessCarnedecabeza
Great but can’t upload multiple photos
I love this app in many ways but the inability to upload multiple images is a big clunky problem. I hope Google enable this feature soon.G Tipene

Google chat here, seems a bit complicated as compared to that of hangouts, I said this because, there’s not difference in the chat when you’re chatting with a friend or a family member… unlike hangouts, senders text is always at right and receivers text is always at left, that alone make it simple for you to understand your conversation easier, but here’s the case, google chat normally has the two so close to each other and also on one part of the chat surface.
Another view to your app so far, I don’t know if others might’ve also realized that as well. The features “block and report” , that should be two things because they’re of different meanings, so it shouldn’t play a single role when you tap on it. For example, I want to block someone for a while, not permanently, but immediately I tap on that feature “block and report”, the person’s gmail is been taken out of google and can’t be found again to replace. Unlike messenger or any other with similar features , you can block someone and unblock to chat with that same person and can also report that person if you find that person ain’t the person you wanted or if that person is trying to scam you…. You guys really need to work on that, either than that, recommend your app as the best app ever.Show lessYirimali

The most horrible app ever. It’s not at all usable anymore. So many useful features are gone or missing. Conversation is so confusing - half of the time I don’t even see or understand who I am typing to. Why do I need to see my name everywhere I don’t get it. so noisy. Last active at time feature gone, so useless for personal needs. it’s complete nonsense. it’s the worst thing you could have done. I can’t believe it. it’s driving me mad and upset for weeks. how can you just force people to use such a stupid app is beyond meShow lessNisha Nambissan

Google Hangout is a very good platform and app to communicate workmates and even family. However, why did they remove the voice/video call on this app?
They should put it back because it is still useful to many.LovelyHaidz

I think that it’s a great platform to message on but my issue with it is that unlike Google hangouts when you send a message your message is on the same side of the screen as other peoples messages. But apart from that I think it’s amazing 😉.Bealiot
