My A1C level was 6.9 when I started Virta 7 months ago. It is presently at 6.0. My biggest learning is that I cannot ignore the monitoring of my glucose levels and expect positive change. I have established a habit of daily monitoring. I do not take glucose medications and control my glucose by diet and activity. Virta has provided me with free testing supplies to monitor my glucose, as well as an electronic meter that links through my cell phone. A great coach keeps me positively motivated.Working with Virta
I started out feeling good about the program but after a while of not getting the ketone where it needed to be I was getting frustrated but with the help of my coach and her suggestions and her positive attitude I think I’m getting this. Like I said weight was not an issue and right now I’m at what I’d like to stay at and want to work on getting the medication down. I am pleased with lowering the toujeo to a 4 and when I can stop it will be a even happier. Thank you
