Solid game but could be better
Overall, it’s a good game. There are changes/updates that would vastly improve the playability of the game. First, player contract costs are far to high compared to the rate a user can accumulate money in order to resign players. Second, adding more customizable details to players (player type, tendencies, etc) would make the game more fun for the user base. Lastly, in-store purchases should give users a “better bag for their buck”. Example, in order to resign a player to a $3-4M contract, that will cost a user $50 in real money to acquire necessary funds within the game.Show lessKligggggg
Update changed entire game strategy
As you play each game, your team expends energy. In order to recoup energy, you use energy cards that you accumulate. One method of earning cards is by watching ads between games. The latest update removed the ad option to earn cards on my game. That would be fine i suppose, if that was the case for all players. But, within my league, most (but not all) owners still receive ad supported energy cards. The games are now un-winnable for me as I am unable to keep my team together. Once you cannot win, your team quickly loses the ability to accumulate or keep good players. I’ve waited weeks for a corrective game update for everyone to receive ads or everyone doesn’t. I’m good either way (although watching the ads greatly enhanced the game by expanding your gameplay options). This is my last ditch attempt to let the designers know about this issue. I’ll be giving up game in the next few days if the issue is not addressed.Show lesszydecats

12/17 Update: completely locked out of the game for 24 hours. Forced upgrade only to find no upgrade available. Seemed like a well thought out update...
Don’t even know where to start on the quality of this game. There are so many glitches, it’s hard to even do anything. Pages won’t load, don’t update when you’re in the app, things scroll off the screen to the point that you can’t see it. Hope whoever manages the testing of this is fired.
On top of that, everything is angled towards making you purchase gold just to maintain your team. It’s virtually impossible to even be competitive bc you can’t even resign your own players or upgrade your facilities without paying. Not to mention, why does it take so long to upgrade something? In order to upgrade your arena, expect that to take almost two months IF you have the cash for it.Show lessHenrymj93
Could have been good
Game could have been good but every aspect of it is built around micro transactions and paywalls you got a good player and want to keep them signed to your team gunna need gold for that, you wanna train your team to be better gonna need gold for that too, you want to sign a new player cuz the game robbed you of your old one cuz you didn’t have enough gold to re-sign them well too bad your going to need gold to even look for a replacement player then more gold to sign them, oh you want to train your team to bad you need special cards for that that you can only get with gold, then even when you do all those things your team will still do completely random in games playing against ppl higher or lower it’s like rating doesn’t matter at all.. but if you find all these things fun and you want to spend money on this game then I suggest clicking the starter pack in the store as fast as possible because it will glitch out and keep asking you to buy that pack just keep buying it over and over for 2 bucks easy way to get even with these ripoffs, if you only click it once and buy It it will immediately disappears and they are 5$ or more after that and you don’t get half as much as the starter packShow lessEBin3D

I find it almost painful trying to manage the tactics side of this game. Its hard to see how these adjustment I make affects each player. Theres stats by each line and each player after the game but I wish I could see an analytical affect from lines that play more minutes. How the style of play affects an individual player. Theres a player rating after each game but for example I changed on of my lines to counter. I saw a huge jump for 2 games from two of my guys, then they had the worst games Ive ever seen them play for the next three. And the stats jumped a lot. I dont know if this is from the opposing tactic counter their line? If their stats didnt vibe with that tactic and they got lucky the first two games. I didnt have the information I felt I needed to make an informed decision and im stuck wonder what can I do to have my team take that next step. So I guess it does accurately simulate what its like to manage a team. But its still lots of fun to make these choices and see how your team plays iut over the course of months not days like other apps. Lots of fun.Show lessJokeson
Pay to Play Money Grab
This game used to be great. But in the last sic months they have destroyed it. They are constantly making tweaks trying to get more money out of the players. Fewer and fewer moral cards. No stacking sponsorships, changing the limit of contracts, changing player stats, all with no warning. Worse was when I spent real money on an All Star. I got a two year contract for a 32 year old player who not even particularly highly skilled. He was dropping skill points everyday due to his age. The coaching assessment said he something about how he was loosing so many skill points.
Don’t spend real money on it, they are constantly working to remove any advantage you have purchased. When I started playing this game over a year ago I used to put a little money into it every month, not any more. After so many tweaks designed to force this to continue, I am done lining their pockets.Show lessKissander
Visually Great and Competitive
This game is great! It’s easy to learn and it’s a lot of fun to see your team progress over time. As long as you login consistently to train your team, you can watch it grow and get better over the months. You can also really create the players to play exactly how you want them to with the training cards. Using those you choose what stats to upgrade. The graphics are sleek and work well with the concept. It’s hard to find a hockey game that doesn’t look like it was made back in N64 days. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great, visually stunning and competitive hockey game.Show lessjmclane31
Great updates but could be better
Love playing this game and have noticed the continuous improvement in each of the updates. It would be nice to be able to adjust tactics in between periods to better manage how the team plays together. It would make the in match play more interactive rather than setting tactics at the beginning of the game and not being able to adapt to the game situation. If I’m set for a defensive strategy and down by 2 going into the 3rd period, I’d like to change the tactics to a more attacking tactic.Show lessjeff_11oyd
Pretty fun game
I like that you can put it down and let it do
It’s thing. It almost makes you feel like you’re managing a real team. I don’t like all the micro transactions I seem to do though. There are times where I just want to play game after game in challenge mode, but I run out of energy cards, and the only way to get more is to buy coins which is just obnoxious. Also my team racks up an incredible amount of penalty minutes every game. I wish that would change. Overall pretty fun. One of the better hockey apps on the market.Show lessbdlierhue
Was a great
This is probably the most addictive game I have. Usually I’ll stop playing games after about a month. But since I’m a huge hockey fan I can’t resist to not check in each day and manage my team.
I started playing in March but since then they’ve had some good updates and as of recent I feel they have been not so good. You get daily sponsorship money every so many hours and if it had past those hours for let’s say 2 rounds of your money it would still be there. Recently they took that away so now if you don’t play all day, you only make crap for money to have for your team. If they would bring that back I would give it a better rating. But until then, 3 stars is all I can give.Show lessJusflowitme
