Smh was a good game
This game is getting out of hand. It use to be fun. Now they’ve gotten money hungry. 1st took the extra coins from social leagues in the card packs. 2nd add more 10% cards then ever. 3rd took away the amount of energy added back to players from the Energy cards. So almost doubling down on the amount of cards used. 4th because of all the added injuries to players that shouldn’t be injured are not and the players that are supposed to get injured do not get injured. Yeah that makes a lot of sense. So because of all the dumb stuff now your into your coins that you only get in social leagues. Beside the generous 2 coins from sponsors. And they even screwed that up. Now if you don’t claim you pack till a few hours later past the games said time you no longer get said pack after the fact. So the time starts again after claiming said pack. I’m at my wits end with this game. They upped the salaries for players. I’m now losing half my good players because I now can’t pay them because you can’t upgrade your facilities fast enough to keep up with your costs. I think I’ve had enough!Show lessDjm6577

Trust me. I’m in the ALLSTAR league (top player in the game). I’ve been playing for 8 months now.
This is a REAL and objective review.
Many many of the top players I know are uninstalling this game. It had so much potential. And then -BAM- they released the December 2018 update.
1) My attendance went DOWN
2) My revenue earned per home game went DOWN
3) The sponsor card packs cash went DOWN
4) Energy is used much more per game
5) Need to use 6 hours worth of energy cards to get your team ready to play again
6) Now can only train players ONCE a day which is ridiculous because a season is ONLY 20 days long. Lol.
7) a GOLD training card only bumps a player skill by 5-6 points. Lol
8) a SIlVER training card only increases one player skill by 3 points out of 100. Lol
9) player skills are now impossible to level with regular in game play.
RESULT: it’s obvious the developers will ONLY reward those who spend a lot of real money for in-game enhancement.
I was going to spend $5 a month for this game.
Now, trust me - $5 a month will not even create a fun gaming experience.

Energy Issue and Cannot Accrue More Than One Sponsor Pack
Issue 1 - There has always been an energy discrepancy between how much is used in the game and the corresponding energy card for the same percentage will not refill your energy after the game. For example, if you have 100% energy going into a game, use 25% energy in the game, you would not be able to refill you energy for a 25% card. Instead, you typically need to use a 50% card or two 25% cards which is a tricky way to force you to use more card thus buying card packs if you run out using sponsor packs which is very likely.
Issue 2 - In the latest update, you can no longer accrue more than one sponsor pack at a time. This is an issue because you now have to log in every 4-5 hours to get cards you’ve earned by building your front office. If you don’t, then you miss out on cards you’ve earned and the only way to make up for it is to purchase card packs.
Conclusion - It’s obvious what the developer is doing here. I’m not sure it matters because those that aren’t willing to pay to play will be left in the dust. Either have a 100% paid for version or have ads. This is a shady way to force us to buy card packs.Show lessHockeydave23

Been playing this game now for a few months. Love it’s premise and it’s a great pass the time game. Up until 2.3.1 came out the same updates and up grades have made good improvements to game play and competition. Not so with this update. Costs are up for players, your ability to train players down and cost up, revenue is down and doesn’t wait for you to log back in like before. So if you don’t check the game every six hours you lose money. Time it takes to do any upgrades is not inline with the cost to hurry that upgrade. Keeps your interest!
This is a very well designed game with the perfect mix of self explanatory things and things to figure out on your own. Much like an every day GM would have to do in order to manage their own team. One thing I would change would be to have a version for players that intend to spend their own money on team upgrades and a version for people like myself that don’t intend to. It seems impossible to come out on top of the standings if you’re not spending your own money. Otherwise, a great game-even for people my age (56).Show lessTBL⚡️
Enjoyable
I am not a huge sports guy. I only care about hockey. That being said, I don’t really care too much about managing teams and what goes on behind the scenes. However, I find this game to be a nice daily game to check in on. I don’t know how I win so many games, because I feel I’m doing the bare minimum as a manager. I don’t bother to change the lineups, don’t trade, and barely pay attention to stats of individual players. All I do is train my team daily and upgrade my arena, and I am loaded with cash and keep winning. It’s sort of satisfying, and enjoyable, but not really challenging or memorable. As previously noted, I am probably not the target audience for this type of game.
As far as the UI and design goes, the developer(s) has done a good job. The app is clean, polished, and easy to navigate.
I recommend this to anyone who is enthusiastic about hockey and/or running a sports team.Show lessdevbags
Expensive to keep players
I do like this game but it has become extremely difficult to keep your players due to cost. Probably spent $100 or so on purchases and all that is is a short term fix. Have had to stock pile cards to sell off and have not made any upgrades to my facility because I can’t afford it. Also stopped playing the challenges because I simply don’t have the energy or morale cards to pay for current roster players. I probably have five total people on my bench and haven’t signed a new player in a month.
Need to fix this ASAP or will delete app

Problems
Currently having some issues with the latest “new version update”. So far it’s been great until recently. I’ve lost gold, cash, cards etc and I’m also not receiving my rewards for completing challenges (such as the complete 7 games challenge; I’ve completed 17/7 of the supposed 7/7 and I haven’t received my rewards). I’ve recently extended all contracts will all my players and 2 of my top players all of sudden have 0 days and the other with 1 day.. I’ve never had trouble with this game till now. I play it everyday and am now getting frustrated with how bugged it’s acting. This is the worst yet.Show lessRed_Beard34
Update to 02 Jun Review
The injuries continue to come at a cyclic rate. I read another review where a user had more injured players than he had healthy players. I play majority of my game at above 83% preparation and I am still experiencing multiple player injuries for multiple days. Any chance developer can make some adjustment so the injuries come with a little less frequency?
Also, since the last update occurred, I have been experiencing a glitch where a challenge will finish but will somehow remain in a “in play” state. Sometimes the glitch will resolve itself. Unfortunately for me, most times I have to exit out of the app completely. When I go back into he app it is as if the game never happened. That is very annoying.Show lessM_Zack_
Fun management game
**I had a team that I had made a lot of progress with, and had even spent a few bucks on. Now when I launch the app it just says “Create” or “Login”. Problem is, this game never made me create an account. I don’t have anything to login with and now all I can do is create a new team. It’s like I never created a team... My progress has been completely lost.**
The above issue was fixed after I contacted support. They were able to provide me with credentials for my account. It’s odd that the game doesn’t ask you to create an account when you first make your team, but I’m sure this will be fixed in the future. This game is pretty fun for a sports management game. I mainly play it because it’s a hockey game. I don’t think there is any competition for this game atm. The management aspects are fun. Tasks take real time to complete. You can pay money to progress faster by buying card packs. Some cards make tasks take less time. You can also sign plenty of good players if you spend money for gold. The actual games are hands off. There’s nothing you can do but watch the score/events during game. But the management aspects including setting your strategy, your lines, managing contracts, and upgrading buildings are fun enough to keep me playing.Show lessCynthesis21
