Issues but great
It was a great game but since the last update about 3 days ago or so the game will load and I try to get to my team and it will pop up a message saying to download the latest version. If I go to the App Store like it brings me to doing there is no updated version. The game still won’t let me reach any of the actual options, is there any way I can have this fixed? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and no luck.Show lessRubishness
Good but needs work
I've enjoyed playing for the most part, I check in and try to win the challenge pack every day. Training and developing the players has been a great addition, and the coaching tactics is fun to tinker with, but it's just way too random. And there just seems to be no explanation for how anything works. I can play challenges against teams of my ranking or higher and beat them easily, but lose to a team 12 points lower than me 1-0.
And you can't control any of what happens once the sim starts. Maybe pause it at intermissions and let us users make any adjustments before clicking back to the game?
If players have ratings for how well they played that game, it should be tied in to their development as well. It seems a waste that progress can only be made with a finite amount of space in the Training area.Show lessswetg
The game is a really good joke :)
As a fan of hockey I tried to “play” that crap for a while. Instead of playing a real game I was just laughing out on the author’s vision of hockey. Most funniest is the players name generator. Developers could not come with nothing more original, than just random generator of existing hockey player names. After few seasons you end up with a roster full of Ovechkins, Gretzkys, and Lemieuxes:) There is no kind of simulation - player numbers and parameters do not affect in any way the so called simulation. The game is a kind of random generator of results. Definitely do not recommend to spend any real money on this.
There are really a couple of questions, I would like to ask the developers:
- do you think, it is common in hockey game to have the shots ratio 125:86?
- do you think if it is possible to score a goal with a player sent out to the penalty box?
- are the game designers aware of what happens, if a player of shorthanded team is sent out to penalty box?
- where was the common sense of game designers, when designing the “simulation” part, as a player cannot change tactics, intensity, nor even swap the goalies?
- how it os possible to call goalie interference in the middle of the rink? :)Show lesssechmatic
The hockey manager game I've been looking for
Absolutely fun game. I check in every day week in and week out to play this game. I care about my players, even though theyre just little dots on the screen, and I like to try and always keep a young squad going with great potential.
Only request I have is that when I'm looking at my players stats (their +/-) I wish I could also look up each lines +/- as a whole. I believe(I could be wrong) it would paint a good picture for which people may just need a line shuffle or maybe a different tactic that might help them. For example I have a second line that has great stats all around, lots of goals, assists, etc. but they also let in quite a few goals. I'd assume the defense would be what's in question, but they have a better +/- then a couple of the forwards. I hope this makes sense. Great game!Show lessjon.Datz
Too many injuries/ inconsistent server
A player gets injured just about every game. One of the tips says that playing with low energy increases the likelihood of injuries. I always play with nearly 100% or full energy, and just about 2 out of 3 games there is a player who gets injured for 7 days. It’s impossible to train and improve players if they’re constantly injured. No realistic hockey game would allow half of your roster to be hurt within the span of a week, but currently I have 7 injured players, and I’ve used injury cards to heal another 4 or 5, gone and signed new players to replace injured ones in the meantime, and now the new players are getting hurt! It’s a joke. If the injury situation isn’t resolved in the next update I will be giving this game up for sure. Also, you can’t play the game for more than 5 minutes without losing connection (and I’m always connected to reliable WiFi). Inconsistent results, I just tried to play a challenge game, closed and opened the app 4 different times, and still when I hit PLAY it will not let me play a challenge game. It’s just not going. Kinda annoying that I have full energy, would like to play a game, and cannot. It’s like the more you try to play this game, the more it screws you. Definitely will not be spending a cent on it until it improves, and if it doesn’t get updated soon I’m just deleting it before my whole roster is on the injured list.Show lesschistov28

This game used to be a very fun game to play and a little more user friendly. Then the devs released and update and now I have at least one payer injured every game meaning I have to swap out star plays for 3-10 days or use injury cards which are not super common. Along with that update came a change to how you train people and now with that you can only train a select few people and that hardly levels people up, but it is even worse for the academy where it used to be players gained levels quick in the academy because they were new and young now when you train you can’t even train all your people in the academy and again you don’t get to pick but it seems like they do not gain the same amount of stats as they did before the update. Getting better since update
Update: Added one more star for a quick fix and extra coins from devs, but the academy and training portion is still totally useless. A basic training doesn’t even affect half of my academy guys and barely inches up the few it does. I guess the days of advancing in this game are over. I’ll wait to see if anything changes or this amazing game concept will be forgotten.
Original: Since the update, even if you can get training to work, it’s almost useless. Three days and most of my players in the academy haven’t increased even one level. Great concepts, but next time, try a beta group first. And it would be nice to have some idea about how the matches in challenge mode are made.Show lessNater424
Great game they actually listened to me!
ORIGINAL ISSUE: I have an iPhone X and I can’t train my team, I have to reset my password every single time I open the app now because it doesn’t remember my passwords and I used to play this every single day but the train button is right at the bottom of the screen so everytime I press it the button goes light transparent blue and it doesn’t work. Please fix this I’ll change my review

Used to love this game
Was making decent progress. Game overall is great. Really cool. I like how you get to manage lines, tactics, see player stats, and also get to make contracts and see your costs vs income. But things changed with the recent update. It's trash now. It didn't say anything about how it costs 15 coins to train your team or academy players. That's so dumb. Literally if you want to develop any players and make them half decent your gonna have to pay to win now. So RIP to free training, and to having fun and winning in this game, because now everybody is just gonna buy coins with real money and then they're gonna be able to develop players. I guess I'm glad I was able to train an entirely new defense and get 4 prospects to develop properly and be good, without having to spend 15 coins every day.Show lessSJSharks_SPARKMAN
Fun game
I really enjoy this game, and it’s certainly unique and basically the only hockey app on the market. The fact that it’s a managing hockey app is even more fun. However, the latest update seemed to make the app run worse and crash a lot. I was looking for an app like this for a really long time. It’d be neat if they could get the NHLPA to allow them to use real players, I think that would make it one of the best on the market. In game there’s some balancing things that are questionable. Like leagues that seem to have huge steps. One league you dominate and win every game, the next you lose every game. There is no happy medium. I also tend to end up with a ton of extra cash (currently at $1.3 million) while upgrades only cost about $15-$20K and upgrade times are really long. I make $15-$20K in one sponsor pack. Besides the app becoming a bit harder to use and more finicky after this update, and a few balancing issues, it’s one of the best on the market-especially if you enjoy hockey.Show less||Reaper||
