Wonderful
Have only worn them for an hour and my hearing is so much better, especially compared to my $6,000 hearing aids!! The phone is also clear as well as the television. I will continue to use the closed caption though as it is just the frosting on the cake! Anxious to try these out in a restaurant and hoping that changing the batteries are not a problem as my other hearing aids are rechargeable.

Bill
Only had them for 6 hours but they are the 4th hearing aids I have tried over the last two weeks and they sound fantastic. Easy to set up, can hardly feel them in my ears and the increased sound volume is very natural compared to the “tinny” sound from the cheaper brands.
Very unreliable app
When it first came out, the app was very reliable. Put in the batteries and the device connected immediately. Now I guess the “updated” it. One can never get it to work the first, second or third time. Finally deleted the app, deleted the device from the bluetooth list and hoping that reinstalling may do the trick.
Good example of “leave it if it’s not broken”.
The UI is still clunky and in the same state as the first release. So what did they actually accomplish is the question- other than completely screwing the usability.

Too many steps to do a simple task
I wish the developers can improve this app so we could make most changes in the Home screen without having to navigate multiple screens and make multiple taps just to make a simple change. Like changing the balance, mute, focus or selecting a different mode, all could be to toggled on the same screen. Also, creating a new mode or overwriting a mode takes too many steps. I got the new SoundControl devices and having to go to multiple screens and clicks is quite annoying. This could be a simple change with lots of benefits to the users. Also, adding separate treble/bass for each device could be very useful to many of us, even better adding a full EQ for each device. Not sure without these changes. Let us know the plans. Without these changes I may return the product after the 90-day trial period. Please Bose, try to make these changes soon, ok? 😜🙏

SoundControl Hearing Aid Disappointment
I’ve owned Bose Hearphones since they came out, and I bought them for my son, also. I’ve recommended them to my friends and several have bought them. The work amazingly well, especially for the price. The ability to narrow the audio field in a noisy environment makes a big difference.
So, I was excited when Bose received FDA approval for OTC hearing aids. Finally, we are going to get useful features, like compression and a graphic equalizer. But, the debut has been delayed for over a year.
Now, the SoundControl aids are in limited availability. What a disappointment!! They are just hearing amplifiers, of the kind you can buy for $150 each. Or less. They don’t stream music or phone calls. They don’t have the narrowest focus setting of the HearPhones, only front and “everywhere”. They apparently don’t have compression. They don’t claim echo cancellation or multiple programs for different acoustic situations. (The specs are very brief.)
Not only that, but Bose discontinued the HearPhones a year ago.
So, in my opinion, Bose is just ripping off the old people again, like everyone else. Apparently the hearing aid cartel made a deal. Again.
I really wish Apple would enter this market. They have all the necessary technology. It’s a big opportunity, if only someone had the determination to break the cartel. Fat chance, it seems.

Bose SoundControl Hearing Aids
This is my first hearing aid so nothing to compare this to. It was easy to set up and and even though I wear glasses, the hearing aid body fit behind the ear with no problems. I downloaded the Bose Hear app and then paired the hearing aids to my iPhone. I like the ability to customize the sound to your environment. Just received them this afternoon, but so far I like them. I can hear the tv without having to turn the tv volume up. My wife appreciates that.

Amazing product
This product is amazing and incredible! I have had them on for 30 min now and as soon as I put them on I was able to hear my wife talk to me from a distance. It had been a long time since I was able to hear her properly. Really amazed and thankful.
Pas pour Bose 700
L’application voit très bien les QC35II mais pas le 700...
Dommage

Doesn’t reliably connect
This app has problems connecting through Bluetooth to the ear phones. I don’t understand why it is so difficult. I can be playing music through the earphones and then try to connect the Bose hear app and it won’t connect. Now, why is that? If the music app can connect, then why can’t the Bose hear app connect? Can’t the Bose Hear app just look at what the music app is doing and then use that channel? It is annoying when I am listening to music through the earphones from the iPhone and then the Bose hear app tells me to make sure that the earphones are turned on.
Also, sometimes it just won’t connect at all. The music app can’t find the earphones and neither can the Bose Hear app. So I tell the iPhone to forget the Bose Hear app and then try to pair. Often, that does not work either. And so what I have to do is delete the Bose Hear app and then reinstall it. So far, that has always worked. But, it is an annoying five minute delay to whatever I am doing. I have to do this about once every month or two.

Wow, Love Hearphones!
My 96 yo Mom has had the most expensive hearing aides and got a new pair every two years for last 15-20 years. She always complained about moving from one environment to another how difficult it was to get them adjusted. These headphones have been a godsend. She can hear tv and conversation much better. I would highly recommend them. Just know when you purchase they need to be paired with a smartphone.
