Reviews of EatOkra

  • Crashes over and over after a few seconds

Saw this app featured in the App Store and would like to support the community. Downloaded and opted to skip creating an account. The app crashes after about 3 seconds to the Home Screen of my iPhone. Happens repeatedly. Tried restarting the phone (which I really shouldn’t have to do to get an app to work). No change. Running app version 6.08 on iOS 17.3.

    Developer Response

Hi my apologies for this error you are experiencing. We pride ourselves in our product and let many people down. As of a few minutes ago minutes ago we released a new application build fixing the issue. ~ Anthony CEO
  • Great App Great Vision

The functionality of the app is top notch and the vision behind the app is mature and necessary.

This app allows users to find restaurants and other places of businesses that provide specific ethnic experiences and offerings to people looking for something local and authentic. There is no need to search keywords, look through pictures trying to find yourself or to drive around aimlessly looking for a spot, this app has it and it’s a time saver.

    10/10 would recommend!!
  • I Want It To Be Great, But It’s Horrid

I love the the concept with the heat of a thousand suns, but the execution looks terrible. Why did I have a Florida joint when I am in Los Angeles? That doesn’t make sense, especially when it came in the Los Angeles search.

The reviews seem suspect. For instance, Hot and Cool had a 3.1 okras rating even though the sole written review rated it 5 okras. Why not include a feature letting users know who gave what rating, even if they elect not to write a review?

The interface looks ugly and not terribly polished, yet one gets ads begging for money every few seconds. Google funding this poorly designed app reeks of tech bro nobles oblige. Let’s give “those” people some coins so that we can continue not to hire the talented ones and look kewl and with the times, it doesn’t matter if the “those people “ lack talent. MLK Jr. did not die for this. SMH. And shame on Apple for featuring this really bad app on Juneteenth!
