  • Whole service and app have gone down hill

In the past six months the trains have started never being on time. I've been standing on the platform for 50 minutes for a train listed as coming every 15, and there is no notice of delay or anything. Then when the train does come it rolls along at 10mph because the tracks are damaged but not a priority to be fixed.

Delays/issues when posted are not easy to find in order to plan your trip, and not updated enough to be worth it.

    Just use ride share instead.

  • Bus lines don’t always seem to match up

I couldn’t put in a bus route stop and get directions of how to get there. And the timing system is very confusing

Not only are the bus lines difficult, but the app said there was a disruption to service on the R-line and that there would be shuttle service instead but there isn’t and the train is running. It also doesn’t specify what to look for for the shuttle if there was one.. very frustrating as a commuter when the train doors stay open for less than 30 seconds.

  • Feature Request

I want a live activity that will give me a countdown (minutes and seconds) until the next departure of whatever train I specify.

I also want a widget that can show the next 2-3 departures in a specific direction at a glance.
  • Addict and Homeless Mobile Home Transit

The smell of urine and diarrhea is often overwhelming. You’ll get skin rashes and diseases sitting on the seats. The air is usually filled with smoke - not just cigarette and weed smoke - hard drugs. You’ll get an instant headache. People shoot up in the open too. Half the riders are free riding homeless and drug dealers and addicts. Security doesn’t kick them off or write tickets. Instead they hang out at stops and share drugs.

More than half the time, the train is late or canceled. And yet sometimes it’ll leave 5 minutes earlier, leaving you hanging for the next one that may or may not show. Rarely is it actually on the actual schedule. Amd good luck figuring out the schedule, because the app is usually completely different than the schedule on the station signs.

All this and bloated overstaffed and overfunded RTD get a 3% chunk of sales tax along the route, county and city taxes, plus high fares.

    Developer Response

Sorry about that - doesn't sound like a great experience. We do everything we can to provide accurate information, and we get that information from local transit agencies like RTD.
  • It’s fine

The RTD system is virtually useless - times are either incorrect or missing, updates to service changes give you an unusable link for “more information” and often times the transportation you’re waiting on just doesn’t even show up or show it’s cancelled, causing you to waste even more time waiting on the next one to (hopefully) show up. Denver needs to fix the entire transportation system, but starting with this almost useless app is a good start. At least it’s better than the other “app” that just opens a browser page for every link.

  • Better than Google maps for transit info

Google is wrong half the time
  • App

I have been waiting for a application like this to see in real time where the bus is located. This is similar to Double Map
  • one star for the issue with the airport station

i’ve tried to convince so many people to use rtd to get to the airport. it’s like a 30 min ride from union. but if you put it in this app to find the next ride, it will always say it’s an hour trip. it’s not . the end of the trip says “walk 20 min” to your destination after getting off at the airport station. if you look closely at the map, this app thinks you have to walk around the whole airport to get to the car entrance for the airport. you don’t. it’s literally 2 min from the train stop to the doors that open to the security line. no crossing roads, no sidewalks even. it basically drops you off *in* the airport.
the airport ride is the most useful train ride we have here, make it accurate!

  • Limited usefulness

The app would much more helpful if it allowed bus stop numbers to be entered as favorites so you get information on buses going in the desired direction instead of a vague spot on the map that doesn’t necessarily give the desired bus information.
  • Older RTD app - where did it go???

I’ve tried to figure out this app a few times. I’m really sorry I ditched the old app first. It was VERY EASY, IT WAS ACCURATE, and got me where I needed to go -ON TIME! I tried this one - too many things to do to find a route and hook up with other routes. I have to use my COMPUTER now. I give this zero stars! Sheesh!
