I don’t get it. I simply don’t get it.
Audi with its global reach and access to a wealth of resource, knowledge and wisdom, still can not deliver an app to connect and function as it should. Since the purchase and install of a front and rear camera system at my local dealership I have not been able to use this app to connect with with my UTR. It is so poor that even the Audi engineer admitted how abysmal the app was. For the last two months I’ve been trying to connect to the camera system to configure it as it still in the same mode it was installed. Every single attempt gets an unable to connect dialogue. It’s depressing. The point that really need’s highlighting here is that this behaviour is being shared by users online and appears to have been going on for a number years. One doesn’t have to look far to find these frustrated Audi community websites. But no-one is listening it seems! I have ow given up. I have taken steps to secure a refund. I am more than happy to return the hardware and for Audi to make good my Vehicle pre install.
I’m sure others have a different experience, however I would not recommend this app. Is there anyone at Audi prepared to own this epic disappointment, also know as Audi UTR?

Buggy release
This app is full with bug, it surprises me that development team doesn’t even care to run basic tests before releasing the app.
The major issue being files are being recorded with weird future timestamp and I can’t do anything to fix it.

Lots of bug in this app
Audi should test and fix bugs before releasing to market. I tried to report to Audi, but I could not find out the proper place. if you click app developers, it takes you to the Audi main site.
I have the latest version of dashcam firmware and latest version of this app as of July 2024

1. If you try to use live view or car finder, it overrides the date and time of dash cam and it takes the wrong date in future. All names of files and overlay time will be wrong.
2. It seems it picks timezone by country name not by GPS. In US it always picks eastern time zone.

Zero stars
App has NEVER worked for me in the 2 years I’ve had the cameras. Cannot get it to connect to WiFi, plus every time I open it, it says there is a firmware update (which goes nowhere when I try to update). The dealer was unable to help me and couldn’t have cared less to help anyway, so I’m stuck with a worthless, junk app and an extremely costly camera that *maybe* records events that I can’t view!

Latest update makes the app crash
The app was operational before the update. Now it crashes every time that you try to open the app

The app is super buggy and lacks serious testing before releasing out to the customers.

App Unreliable - Does Not Work
As an engineer, I’d have to say; this app is very poor. It crashes. You cannot watch the videos from it consistently. In fact, after the Audi service team installed the camera, they could not get the app to work and ordered a new camera thinking it was the camera. It turned out the camera did have a fault, but would not link to the car’s system. Even the new camera worked sporadically at the Audi service center. Lately, however, it does not work at all. The Audi team struggled to get any results. They were never really successful. It turns out, that if you want to watch the videos you have to remove the SD card and watch them on your computer. Extremely disappointing. And for as much money that you pay for this integrated system, it is an incredibly poor product.

Hopeless beyond measure
Trash- 98 times out of 100 the app doesn’t connect, or gets kicked out by the car’s MMI, or gets kicked out by the MyAudi app (why do these interfere?).
Support from the dealer is condescending and not helpful. Yup followed 6 pages of further instructions from them and it does the same things again and again (thanks for nothing Lookers Newcastle).
Also the Audi dashcam keeps falling off - whole package an enormous waste of expensive (so much for value added) money.

Do not recommend Audi UTR
It’s just not worth the money. Go with another traffic cam.
