Great for listening
I’ve used ChinesePod for more than a year. The great thing about this app is it’s ability to learn lots of practical dialogues. Each podcast comes with new vocabulary and the sounds that actual locals say. However each podcast are completely independent of one another so they’re like a new chapter in a textbook. The vocabulary doesn’t get reused consistently in other episodes, so you’ll have to constantly go back and review older episodes.
Also, the self test is useless since it just repeats what you learned from the dialogue as opposed to having new questions and sentences made. I highly suggest another source for actually learning how to read/write characters. This is ONLY great for listening skills.

The older version (pre2016) of this app was far superior. Isn't it time to come to terms that sometimes newer isn't better.
Has the developer even seen what he’s made?
You can see html everywhere. How is that a released product?

App is terrible but the content is extremely good. Too expensive imo as well.

Best Chinese language app out there!
I have been a long time user of ChinesePod and can whole heartedly recommend this for anyone who is looking to learn Chinese at any level from beginning to very advanced.
Everything.. Needs a Payment
If you were just going to make us download this and then make us pay for practically anything, then that’s bad marketing. Everything that I saw was ‘premium.’ I had to PAY to use any of the features or even a lesson. Really? You make the app free but make us pay for the lessons.
Chinese pod app
I really enjoy this app, makes studying on the train much easier. Of course, the best way to study is through their website and the app does need more refinement. Ihope to see more changes to this app in the future but it will do for now.
Terrible
Considering what I pay a month for a chinesepod subscription this app is totally unacceptable. The episodes don't download to the app. Although there is this option to download so you can listen on the go without using your data, the episode just sits there in the download folder but never completes. I've gotten so frustrated I barely use Chinesepod anymore even though I paid for a year. They need to get their act together if they want people to pay for this.
