Excellent rates

I hv been using Remitly for long time until been referred by my friend abt instarem, to my surprise rate here are always better than any other remittances app.

A great Improvement!

Remittances are now faster and better than before. It’s reduced to 2-3 days from 4-5 days. Fees has been lowered as well but exchange rate has been reduced slightly as well. Overall, I recommend the Instarem to everyone who want to send money to India.

Do not use them please - Money Stuck

I had initiated a transfer 10 days ago for INR to AUD and after keeping me waiting for 4 days Instarem cancelled that transaction with no explanation. They made me provide my ITR, Travel Tickets and then said transaction is in process and finally cancelled it.

Main cause of Instarem cancelling my transaction was the change in AUD value. They offered me a decent deal and next onwards AUD price started spiking up and thats when Instarem started showing its true colors.

It didn’t stop there, now it has been countless follow ups and complains on the social media platform but they haven’t refunded my 3.75 Lakh rupees. I had an urgency due to which I needed funds in AUD and here I am with neither INR nor AUD.

Instarem support team has only one answer, that the refund is in process but it never progresses. They don’t share the transfer details. Bunch of crooks running a money transfer company.

Bad app no cap

If clickbait could be an app this would be it. I had hope for it but they ask for too much information I was afraid they would also ask for my blood type, my dog’s mother’s maiden name, and the ambient air pressure in my location in kilo pascals. This app has so many bugs its worst than Martha Stewart’s garden so I advise calling pest control for the next update. You're lucky due to my OCD I can’t do odd numbers so I’m giving 2 stars. I could do zero, but thats too mean. Cheers.

Quick and easy fund transfer

I have been using Instarem for fund transfers for the last 2 years and I have nothing but good experiences. Quick and easy setup, transparent payment flow status, fast receipt of transfer to destination account.

Could improve the actual transfer rates.

Avoid if you want a smooth, undelayed transfer experience

I just received a refund from InstaReM for money that I had booked to be transferred to South Korea. I was notified about a week after I sent the money that the money had been rejected from the recipient bank (just a few hours after I’d been notified that the money had been successfully deposited in the recipient’s account) on the basis that insufficient information had been provided. I was not informed of what further information would need to be provided and was asked to re-initiate the same transaction, which would be carried out using the new FX rate. Given that the FX rate had dropped significantly since I entered into the transaction, I was not willing to re-initiate as proposed and therefore opted for a refund. Although the refund process went smoothly, I was very displeased with the way in and speed with which the request for further information was handled - the whole process took me 10 days, when I was on a deadline of 5 business days to transfer my money to the recipient. I will not be using again.

Funds arrived in same day with nice exchange rate

I really like InstaRem use Mid-market rates with a relatively low transaction fee! I have recommended few of my friends to use your service! It will be great if you can accept Faster Payment System(FPS) for loading funds from Hong Kong so as to simplify and speed up the funds loading process!

A bit slower to process than some. Cheaper than many. Annoying lack of defaults for a user

Guys. It’s not 3 simply steps as you state. It’s 6 now we have to wangle our way through multiple offers that I have to decline EaCh time. You have fixed defaulting to INR as my target currency. Allow a default to be set. Simplicity it is not if I have to keep faffing around setting currency to the target I want rather than the target you think I want ( based purely on you being Indian). So you do listen.

Better still support “ repeating a transaction “ like your competition does.

Also note to users. You MUST ensure the transaction reference is included in your remittances to them. Their matching algorithm seems to be less sophisticated than others and if you miss this you’ll get the run around ( per the negative comment elsewhere perhaps ).

Depending on the currency pair I’ve had transactions take one working day if you’ve correctly set the references. The best all inclusive rates I have seen.

App on iPhone 11 Pro

I’m unsure if this is a regular issue or a one off. The point is that your app has a weird user interface on my iPhone 11 Pro. When I click on the send money icon the fields are right on top and cut off from the edge on the top. There is something wrong with the way your app page renders itself on my phone. Certainly looks weird and more importantly I don’t see the button to send/submit once I’ve chosen the amount and the currency. While you’re quick at sending money, your app is very unfriendly looking app given my recent experience. I’ll have to use another money transfer service now. Pls fix your app.

It could have been better.

I love the app and the fee and transfer they provide. Initial limits were low but later they increased limits, which is nice. Only problem is UX. Will not show progress of fund properly. Takes long to open. Tries multiple times with faceId to open. Login is very problem. And the switching of balance transfer methods also. If these are handled, i think it would be even better and user friendly.
