Reviews of Walkingspree

Ugh, how awful.

You know, probably would have given this app a 3-star review, or just not reviewed it at all because while it works fine enough (though the steps total often deviates from steps on phone, that’s weird.), today I got a full on push notification begging for a 5-star review on the App Store. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! How horribly insulting and invasive of an app to misuse notifications for such self serving needs.

IF YOUR APP DOESN’T GET ENOUGH 5-STAR REVIEWS ON ITS OWN, YOU SHOULD PROBABLY LOOK INWARD TO FIGURE OUT WHY NOT…you should NEVER use pop ups to beg for reviews, ESPECIALLY when a user has “in-app reviews” turned off in settings to avoid such things. Response from developer

At times, the Apple Health app may reduce the step totals after initially reporting them. This adjustment can happen either within minutes or hours and is due to a few reasons: The Health app on your iPhone collects data from various sources, such as your iPhone and Apple Watch. To prevent double-counting steps from different devices during overlapping time periods, the app automatically recalculates and adjusts the totals.
