Not intuitive, buggy.
This is taking me way too long to get this thing started. Like five minutes. You pull into a charger for Tesla, and you plug it into your car and it just connects and charges. The app is buggy, it doesn’t want to load, it doesn’t wanna talk to the terminal. Totally dissatisfied. And it asks for my credit card and I swipe it and it says accepted and then it cancels it and then it says not taking Credit cards at this time. This feels like it was designed by a committee that doesn’t even own an electric car.

App works, but stations need improvement
This company has got to do better about labeling their stations to include the fact that they only work with the application. They have a spot for a credit card and like many other chargers that presents as if you can just tap and go with your credit card. After fumbling multiple times thinking my credit card is failing I called customer service only to find out this station can only be used with the app. Do better EV Connect and label your stations appropriately.

Fast
Is the fastest charging station within 10 miles the rest seems like it takes forever. I highly recommend this particular location the other bonuses of this location Is it is a safe environment, easy access, and there are four charging stations. If all stations are busy, don’t worry will be available soon due to 360 KW.

Great, with a couple of caveats
Awesome rates, SUPER CHEAP. 2 issues I have with most of their locations is there are always too few chargers, and every charge places a $25 hold on your card for a few days. First time I used them I had a LOT of driving that day and used them 5x, imagine my surprise when what should have been about $14 worth of charges manifested as $125 holds on my card for 3-5 days. If they could perhaps hold $10 instead, most cars would need no more than that anyway and have more chargers at each location they would be 5+ stars.

Found a Charger Thanklfully
I was able to locate this charger after a few wrong turns (I went into the parking lot adjacent to this station thinking it was inside/ maps was off by a 100ft)
There’s two ports located at this station. Upon looking at the reviews, there was mention of a white Tesla always parked either charging or not charging their EV and lo and behold-It was there lol, but the driver came out after 10 minutes unplugged and drove off, I can’t lie I wanted to tell the person that they were google review famous…but I didn’t.
I was able to charge my vehicle and I was very happy about that and now, right as I’m writing this review I’m charging at this very location again and yes, the white charger is in front of me too and the person is charging. It’s first come first served so what can you do but wait your turn. This charger port is free to use. Keep that in mind.

This bass been the easiest and most dependable charge station in North Texas, for me. Right off the exit at Medical Center Blvd, down the Northbound service road, right at the entrance to Friendly Chevrolet. All fast charging, and a clean well lit place. Kudos to EVHQ FRIENDLY CHEVROLET, for running a class act. And the people who man the station are the other half of why I keep coming. Nay is almost like family always a friendly greeting and a great smile!!

Super easy
Easy and fast, that’s it!
EV connect is an above average provider, 4.5 stars
If you connect with one of two companies that I give four stars to; I haven’t given five stars to any yet. If we connect is a fairly straightforward experience, however, it can be a little cumbersome when you originally set up your charging and password. I really enjoyed my first experience, but on my second experience, I got caught in an authorization loop. On my third experience everything went very well again, I think partly because I have automated authorization as much as possible.

Charge stations
I currently am driving a rental . It’s a 2023 Chevy Bolt. I have been able to use a charger close to home and another close to work. They are all by dealerships so far . I can connect with ease through the app and prices seem more reasonable than charge point who also charge $50 hold if you don’t have account with them. I just feel more comfortable with charge point knowing all they want is our service w/o the coercion of a monthly membership . Good experience with the DC chargers too.
