  • For $10, the pro version is amazing.

It’s everything a new DM could ever want out of an app like this. Ambience? Check. SFX? Check. Background music? Check.

There are more expansive services out there that require a sub, and while they’re great, this app is perfect for people who just wanna put something together for their session in half an hour and then focus on running the game. I highly recommend getting the pro version!

Thanks Lane! Glad you're enjoying the app! :D
  • a helpful tool

first of all: they have the wilhelm scream. as a dm, i absolutely cherish that they’ve included it. if i spend a long time with any app, i’m bound to find some flaws. the worst of them being only that the loops to some of the music or ambience is very obvious. however, it DOES allow other programs to play at the same time, so i have music from my personal playlist while i use the app for the ambience and sfx. it works well, and with my storytelling and the music and the overall energy of my group, they hardly ever notice the rough loop. this is a fantastic mood-setter and it adds that extra dimension to immersive gaming.

  • Purchasing PRO is 1000% Worth It

Hey all! Relatively new DM here.

Some sounds don’t sound complete or you can hear the break when they loop. That said, there are still so many background sounds, music, and sound effect, plus it allows for you to upload and play your own music and sounds! Incredibly customizable. With the PRO version (for a one-time cost of $10), I can layer multiple atmospheres (think horse-drawn cart + summer wind + thunderstorms) as well as having some SFX (falling tree, lightning strike, large explosion) queued up in the quick-access buttons for quick surprises (also available with the free version).

I find the “Play in Background” feature of the PRO version to be indispensable. I love the recent update with the automatic cross fade between switching sounds, which makes the whole experience sound much cleaner. I have no trouble balancing running great ambiance and music while juggling my other, more important DM responsibilities. I highly recommend this app!!

  • Really great but I’m having some trouble

Absolutely amazing app, I caved and bought the full version lol. But even in the free version the amount of sounds available is incredible! I am having trouble importing custom sounds, but let’s be honest that’s probably because I’m doing something wrong haha. It would be nice if instead of, even in the pro version, a set number of additional tracks for each type of track, you could decide which of those slots were which type of track; since I’m usually not using more than one ambiance and music, but I am using a whole bunch of effects and (ideally, if I can ever work it out) custom sounds. Thanks for making the app its incredible!

  • One problem..

A great app overall! Provides nice ambiance to my campaign, and makes my players get into the feel of it too! But one problem.. I can’t exactly figure out how to get sounds into the playlist. I’ve tried to look it up, but it doesn’t seem to be on the internet anywhere sadly. Some help would be appreciated 😓

  • Dnd music app standard

This is the new dnd music app that's now standard in all my games. Seriously changed it for the better.

Latest update was awesome! Keep up the great work. Won't complain about more sounds being added.

Support team is awesome and super responsive.
  • Redoing my Review

I had originally wrote a two-star review for this app because there was no way to split view or slide over. That was added so now I am adjusting my review. This app is very useful now that I can run this app side by side with the app I use for my virtual tabletop.

There is only one more small critique that would give this app 5 stars and that would be the ability to add custom sound and audio via the Files app. I love creating sound effects using GarageBand and I would love to just add them right into this app and use them. Currently you can add custom sounds via iTunes/Finder, but I don’t have the money to buy a new computer that my iPhone and iPad can talk to.

So there you go. If it had the ability to add custom audio via the Files App, it would a perfect app.

Hi, This issue is now fixed, you can now use split view on iPad. Thanks, SuperFlyGames Team
  • Every GM NEEDS this

App works great. Great collection of sounds but if you find yourself needing more, the custom sound option gives you everything you need. The upgraded version is well worth the money. The app originally did not open on my iPad but I messaged the devs and they were very speedy to help fix the issue.
  • Great App, Great Developer

100% recommended. This app has been one of the cornerstones of my Dungeon Master arsenal for years.

It comes preloaded with a good number of sound effects, music, and ambient noises that can all be layered on top of each other, and each layer has its own volume control. As if that weren’t good enough, you can easily upload your own audio files which can be played as a separate layer in the app. This allows for limitless potential in terms of what sort of mood you want to set at the table with your background music.

The developer is extremely helpful and open to feedback. It’s definitely apparent that they genuinely want this to be as good as possible and for your game experience to be elevated by it. Thanks, Dan!

  • Just awesome!

I’ve recently fell in love with this app! As a dungeon master it allows the user to perfectly set the mood for each encounter. It would be great to have a bit more options, but it’s still pretty awesome with the current selection. I enjoyed using it so much that I decided to pay for the full version which is typically something I would never do, no regrets!
